Go With The Flow - follow the river of life downstream….. ❤️

Sometimes life slows us down through circumstances we didn’t choose. An illness. A diagnosis. A loss. A change we never saw coming.

In those moments, it’s easy to focus on what we’ve lost or what feels uncertain.

But what if those pauses are also invitations?

An opportunity to reassess what really matters. To make ourselves a priority instead of leaving ourselves until last. To notice possibilities we may have been too busy to see before.

When I look back over my own life, I can see that some of my greatest periods of growth began at times I would never have chosen. At the time, they often felt uncomfortable or even unfair. Yet each one quietly led me towards something I couldn’t have imagined then.

Over time, I’ve started to see a pattern in that. I’m learning to trust that even when I can’t see the whole picture, life has a way of unfolding exactly as it needs to.
Some might call it faith. Others might call it a divine plan. Whatever your belief, there is something reassuring in knowing that difficult seasons don’t last forever—and that they often shape us in ways we only understand later.

Have you ever had a time when you felt truly vulnerable?

Did it change the direction of your life or teach you something you didn’t expect?

I’d love to hear your story. 💜

Last week I had my second cataract operation.

Even though I knew what to expect… my body had other ideas.

As someone with white coat syndrome, the moment I walked into the clinic I could feel my nervous system spring into action.

My heart was pounding in my chest.
I caught myself holding my breath.
My fingernails were digging into the palms of my hands without me even realising.

It reminded me of something I often share with others…

Our bodies don’t always respond to what our minds know.

I knew I was safe.
But my nervous system needed a little extra reassurance.

So I did what I teach others.

I slowed my breathing.
I gently tapped.
I brought myself back into the present moment.

Little by little, I felt my body soften.
My breathing steadied.
My heart settled.
I found my way back to a place of calm.
I then focused on gratitude that I would soon be able to see clearly again 🤗

It was a powerful reminder that we don’t have to fight our feelings—we simply need the right tools to work with them.

❤️ Can I ask you a question?

What is affecting you right now?

Perhaps it’s a medical appointment…
A difficult conversation…
Work stress…
Family worries…
Or simply feeling overwhelmed.

You don’t have to carry those feelings on your own.

If you’ve ever wondered how breathing techniques and tapping (EFT) can help calm your mind and body, just drop a ❤️ or a “Tell me more” in the comments, and I’ll happily explain.

Sometimes the smallest techniques can make the biggest difference.
