🐾 Today isInternational Dog Day🐶❤️

We’re celebrating the wonderful joy our four-legged friends bring to all three of our homes!

We’re lucky to regularly welcome pets and animal therapy dogs to visit our residents, bringing plenty of smiles, cuddles and happy memories🥰

Animal visits can be a wonderful way to encourage conversation, reminiscence, companionship and social interaction, with many residents enjoying the opportunity to share stories about their own beloved pets.

A huge thank you to all the furry friends, owners and volunteers who bring so much happiness to our homes 🐕💕

Walking for Dementia💕

This September, some of the Glen Staff will be taking on the challenge of walking 1 mile every day throughout the month to raise awareness and support for dementia UK.

They won’t be doing this alone! They’ll be joined and supported by the wonderful residence of the Glen Care Home, who will be getting involved along the way and helping to make each walk, enjoyable and meaningful.
Dementia is something that touches so many families, and we’re delighted to be doing our bit to support such an important cause, if you’d like to support us and our residents, we would be so grateful for any donation no matter how big or small please follow the link below to our fundraising page and sponsor us if you can.

📢 Afternoon Tea Party Cancelled

Unfortunately, due to the high temperatures forecast for tomorrow, we have made the decision to cancel our Afternoon Tea Party.

The comfort, health, and wellbeing of everyone is our priority, and we feel this is the safest option during the hot weather.

Thank you for your understanding. We hope to rearrange the event for a cooler date and will keep everyone updated.

Please remember to stay cool, stay hydrated, and take care in the heat. ☀️💧

We’re looking forward to an afternoon filled with delicious treats, plenty of tea, laughter and wonderful company💕✨

Our residents enjoyed a special pamper afternoon as part of International Self Care Month, taking time to relax, unwind and enjoy some lovely moments of calm💆‍♀️🌸

Self care comes in many forms, and we loved creating an opportunity for our residents to feel relaxed, refreshed and cared for.
