We had a special day on Friday Reminiscing about VJ Day. John, my husband, brought things from that time to show the family members and speak about. We watched a short 3 min clip on YouTube and ended our afternoon off with a wordsearch game with a difference.

Antique Roadshow! My husband came to talk to the family members about antiques. Family members enjoyed looking at all the different items.

We always enjoy a quieter afternoon of knitting and nattering!

We had a cheese tasting afternoon, family members had to guess what cheese they were eating. Everyone enjoyed most of the cheeses. We then did a cheese quiz.

To end of July we had a guest, Nigel, come and minister to us with his piano accordion. We also enjoyed a walk into the village to go buy ice-creams and took a stroll in Evington Park and enjoyed eating them. A lovely way to end off the month. Thank you to staff and volunteers for all their help to have made this possible.

A lovely bonding afternoon yesterday, staff, volunteers and family members all enjoying doing the craft together. We used different coloured tissue paper scrunched into balls to stick onto our dancing ladies dresses, designing the dresses and head gear.

Yesterday we teleported to Cornville beach where we enjoyed fish and chips at the restaurant nearby before making our way down to the beach. Once hats and suntan lotion was on we started to build our sandcastles, make pictures out of shells, fish ducks out the pond and have fun with beachballs. Not to forget to mention that we enjoyed under the sea mini biscuits with our tea. We then played a fishing game with forfeits, family members had to fish out a fish with the fishing rod and whatever number that was on the fish, we had a forfeit for the family member to do. It was great fun. We ended our afternoon at the seaside with ice-cream on a cone with flake and sauce. Family members said they enjoyed the afternoon!

Carla, one of our hummingbirds brought her sister's puppy to visit yesterday. Stanley is only 4 months old and was so good with the family members, the family members enjoyed him.
