A little story from one of our Registered Managers.. 💜🏃♀️
The day I rather impulsively signed up for the Torbay 10K, I thought I was just setting myself a personal challenge.
What I didn't know was that my sister – a seasoned marathon runner – had signed up that very same night. A little while later, my phone buzzed with a screenshot of her race confirmation.
At that moment, I knew there was no backing out 🫣
Since then, there have been early mornings, training runs, aching legs, moments of wondering what on earth I was thinking and plenty of determination to keep going.
On race day 20th Sept, I'll have the best running partner I could ask for. She'll be there to run with me, walk with me, encourage me, and if needed, drag me over the finish line! ❤️
Together, we're taking on the challenge to raise money for the incredible Rowcroft Hospice, a charity that means so much to so many people in our community.
Everyone here at Cornerways has been so supportive throughout my training, and knowing I'll have my sister by my side makes the challenge feel a little less daunting.
Wish me luck... I have a feeling I'll need it! 🏅💜
