If you don’t use it, you lose it.
Elaine, at 70, is a brilliant example of exactly why staying active matters. 💃
Elaine first got in touch with me before having her knee replacement in September 2024. She’d already trained for most of her life and had always been active, but with both a hip and knee replacement behind her, she knew how important it was to keep moving, keep building strength and keep investing in what her body could do.
What strikes me most about Elaine isn’t just her fitness it’s her attitude.
She understands that staying strong and active is what allows her to stay mobile, feel good and, most importantly, continue doing the things she loves.
She’s always been someone who enjoys getting out there from hiking to one of her absolute favourites… dancing & going out to gigs. ❤️
She stays in touch with me about her training, and if she feels herself slipping into a bit of a mental slump or losing momentum, she recognises it and gets herself back in for some more frequent sessions.
That mindset is powerful.
The other day, Elaine sent me a video of herself dancing and I genuinely felt so proud watching it.
At 70 years old, after a hip replacement AND a knee replacement, there she was absolutely going for it dancing like nobody was watching.
And she looked incredible.
There was such youth in her movement, her energy and the way she carried herself. You could see how much she was enjoying simply being able to MOVE.
And that, for me, is what training is really about.
It’s not just about what you can lift in the gym or what you look like.
It’s about protecting your ability to live your life.
To get out.
To move.
To dance.
To travel.
To walk.
To enjoy yourself.
To keep doing the things that make you you.
Getting older doesn’t mean we should stop moving.
If anything, it gives us even more reason to keep going.
Elaine, you’re an absolute inspiration lady...keep dancing like nobody’s watching. ALWAYS!!!💃🔥
