As a celebrant I can get requested to craft ceremonies that have some spiritual content or none and I’m equally happy doing either. Spring and Easter are great reminders that light follows dark, that love survives death and that is true for all. Whether we follow a religion or recognise this as spiritual is our choice. But those we love really do go on in our hearts, returning to us time after time in many moments long after they are gone; and that is something really worth celebrating and holding on to. Wishing everyone a peaceful and hope filled Easter.

Wishing everybody warmth and peace this Christmas season and in the coming year. I’ve had an incredible first year in this role which I feel like I was born to do. Whether planning weddings and vow renewals, naming children or saying farewell to and celebrating the lives of many people, each special in their unique way and loved by those they have left behind; this work is nothing less than an honour.
