Residents and staff enjoyed finding out which nation they will be cheering on and the excitement is already building. 🎉

✨Meet the Team Mondays✨
This week we're proud to introduce our longest serving team member, Sally.
Sally has been with us for an incredible 24 years as a dedicated carer.
1️⃣What do you enjoy most about your job?
I enjoy caring for the residents and becoming part of their extended family. It's rewarding to know that I can make a positive difference in their lives every day.
2️⃣What’s your favourite hobby outside of work?
I love baking and often use it as a way to bring people together while supporting good causes. Recently, I raised £500 for Ukraine and £800 for Macmillan through bake sales. I always involve residents and staff in my fundraising efforts, which helps create a fun atmosphere. My colleagues regularly request their favourite bakes and I enjoy making them and sharing them with everyone.
3️⃣Give us a fun fact about you..
I won an all paid for trip to London courtesy of Slimming World as I was the ‘Biggest Loser’ from my slimming club.

✨Meet the Team Mondays✨
Over the coming weeks we will be introducing some of the Cadogan Court team, and asking them 3 questions to get to know the person behind the job role.
We have a variety of roles within the home, some more visible than others, however, regardless of roles each team member works together to ensure that our residents are happy, safe and well cared for.
To start us off, we are introducing Clare Walker, Home Manager.
Clare has worked at Cadogan Court for 15 years, has held a few different roles in the management team before becoming Home Manager 6 years ago.
1️⃣ What is the best part of your role?
Being part of an amazing team and seeing the difference that we all make to our residents and their loved ones lives. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing someone’s face light up with a smile or the twinkle in their eyes when they are happy.
2️⃣ What do you do when you are not working?
I am out walking my 6 years old Labrador Kobi, or watching my daughter play rugby.

Many years ago I worked in a bingo hall and found a love for playing bingo.

🏃‍♀️💙 Supporting Dementia Awareness 💙🏃‍♀️
We are incredibly proud of our amazing carer, Emily, who is taking on the challenge of running a half marathon to raise money and awareness for Dementia UK.
Every day, Emily shows compassion dedication and kindness in her role caring for others, and now she’s going the extra mile —13 miles, in fact to support a cause that touches so many lives.
Dementia affects millions of people and their families, and every contribution helps fund vital research, support services, and awareness initiatives.
In addition to Emily’s half marathon she also organised a tea and cake afternoon to raise money for Dementia UK at the home - in which she raised nearly £140.

Today we celebrated one of the nation’s favourite treats with plenty of tea, biscuits, smiles and wonderful memories shared together. From custard creams to chocolate digestives, everyone had their personal favourites! ☕💛

🌺 Aloha from Cadogan Court 🌺
Today we brought a little bit of Hawaii to our residents with a fun-filled Hawaiian themed afternoon 🌴☀️
There were mocktails and delicious fruits, tropical music and a Hawaiian quiz
The themed afternoon was requested by one of our residents and they where plenty of smiles all round
Residents enjoyed dressing up and soaking up the island vibes amongst each other🍍🎶
A wonderful afternoon full of laughter, happiness and great memories made together ❤️
