Microneedling vs skin boosters

These are particularly different:

Microneedling = “make the skin repair and remodel.”
It creates controlled micro-injury that triggers wound-healing processes and collagen/elastin remodelling.

Skin boosters = “improve the environment and quality of the skin.”
They primarily target hydration and skin quality rather than deliberately creating mechanical injury.

So for texture/scarring/fine lines, microneedling may have the advantage.

For dehydrated, crepey, dull skin, a suitable skin booster may be more appropriate.

✨ For a 40–60+ patient

A very useful aesthetic philosophy is not to chase maximum stimulation. Older or thinner skin often benefits from a gentler, structured programme with adequate recovery, rather than repeatedly going very deep or very strong.

And importantly, skin rejuvenation is different from lifting. These treatments can improve skin quality, texture and some early laxity, but they cannot reproduce the lifting effect of surgery.
