“NEW WEEK, NEW ME" 👀
How many of us say this every single Monday?
Well guess what.
YOU DO NOT NEED TO START AGAIN ON MONDAY!!!!!!!!!
We’re obsessed with fresh starts.
Monday.
The first of the month.
January.
After the holiday.
After the kids go back.
When work calms down.
When we've “got our head together.”
Apparently personal growth requires an administratively convenient start date. 😂
But one of the biggest traps in mental health is all-or-nothing thinking.
You miss the gym twice, so the whole week is ruined.
You have a takeaway, so the healthy eating has “gone out the window.”
You lose your temper, so apparently all the work you've done on regulating your emotions counts for nothing.
You have a bad mental health day and suddenly you're telling yourself:
“I'm back to square one.”
Except…
You're not.
You don't lose everything you've learned because you struggled.
Progress isn't a streak that resets to zero every time you're human.
Sometimes progress looks like doing brilliantly.
Sometimes it looks like noticing a pattern sooner than you used to.
Sometimes it’s having the same wobble but recovering in two days instead of two weeks.
And sometimes it's simply saying:
“Today went to crap. I'll try again tomorrow.” 😂
Not next Monday.
Not next month.
Not when life becomes magically less chaotic.
Tomorrow.
Or this afternoon.
Or in ten bloody minutes.
Because consistency was never supposed to mean never getting it wrong.
It means getting better at coming back when you do.
So if you've woken up this Monday already feeling behind…
You don't need a brand-new version of yourself.
Just keep going with the one you've already been working on.
