We can’t quite believe a whole year has flown by, but tomorrow, Monday 1st June, we officially celebrate our 1st Anniversary!

Launching an independent, family-run business is a true labour of love, and we couldn’t have reached this milestone without the incredible support of the Fakenham and North Norfolk community.

Whether you’ve popped in to say hello on Bridge Street, trusted us to care for a loved one, or simply followed our journey online, we want to extend our deepest gratitude to you all. Here’s to many more years of serving our local community with care and dedication. 🥂

We are just a few days away from our 1st Anniversary here at Gowards Independent Funeral Services.

When we opened on Bridge Street last year, our goal was to provide a truly independent, warm, and approachable service for our local community. One year on, we are so grateful for the trust you have placed in us and for all the kindness and support we’ve received.

Thank you to everyone who has liked, shared, and supported our family business over the last year. We look forward to marking the big day this coming Monday, 1st June! 🎂❤️

🎉 A huge milestone is coming up for us! 🎉

Next Monday, 1st June, marks exactly one year since we officially opened our doors on Bridge Street. We are incredibly proud to celebrate our 1st Anniversary as Fakenham’s only independent, family-run funeral directors.

Over the past 12 months, it has been our absolute privilege to support local families during their most difficult times with the care, dignity, and personal touch they deserve.

As our community steps away from the daily routine for this Bank Holiday, we want to reassure our neighbours that care at Gowards Independent Funeral Services never pauses. We know that grief does not keep office hours, and wondering what to do when someone dies on a public holiday can feel incredibly overwhelming. Unlike corporate funeral directors that rely on distant, centralised call centres during bank holidays, our independent family firm remains fully operational and available 24 hours a day.

A full year of being there when it matters most. 🤍

On Monday 1st June, Adrian Amis, Paul Cook, and the team are marking a truly special milestone, one year since relaunching as Gowards Independent Funeral Services on Bridge Street. Transitioning to a truly family-run funeral home in Norfolk has allowed us to focus entirely on what matters: providing personal, bespoke care to our neighbours during life’s most difficult moments. We want to say a heartfelt thank you to the families of Fakenham for placing your trust in us over the past twelve months.

Whether we’ve supported your family in the past, or you're a new neighbour passing by, please pop in to see us between 11:00 am and 3:00 pm. The kettle will be on, with plenty of complimentary tea, coffee, and fresh cakes to enjoy. We’d love to welcome you.

It seems our morning routine on Bridge Street has been officially taken over by some local regulars.

The Fakenham mallards 🦆 have decided Monday morning is the perfect time to waddle back into our courtyard, reminding us all to take a gentle breath and enjoy the quieter moments of the day.

At Gowards Independent Funeral Services our peaceful surroundings are an essential part of the compassionate funeral services we provide.
