"We recently needed an eye test and new glasses for my housebound gran who has mixed dementia, Alzheimer’s, and bipolar disorder. From start to finish the service we received was outstanding. Douglas was an absolute breath of fresh air. He was incredibly patient, kind, and professional. He managed to keep my gran calm and responsive throughout the process which amazed us she also was able to understand and answer his questions something she often struggles with due to her illness. She had a massive choice of glasses that was shown to her and got to tried on until she picked a pair she was happy with, Halcyon vision was adamant no money was exchanged until the glasses were delivered and fitted. Did you spot us in yesterday's Falkirk Herald?

"As part of your child’s routine NHS eye examination at Halcyon Vision all school aged children are screened for Keratoconus, a progressive condition where the fibres at the front of the eye don’t hold their shape, distorting vision. If spotted early, the condition can be managed. However, if left unchecked it can be difficult to correct with glasses alone."

As busy working parents, opticians Katy and Doug know two very important facts – it’s never too early to start testing your child’s eyes, and it can be hard to find an appointment time to fit around school.
