Maybe healing isn't supposed to become another full-time job.
I see so many people constantly working on themselves.
Reading.
Processing.
Journalling.
Analysing.
Trying to regulate.
Looking for the next pattern.
The next wound.
The next thing that needs healed.
And somewhere along the way...
life becomes one enormous self-improvement project.
But what if there isn't always something wrong?
What if you don't need to understand every emotion?
What if you don't need to trace every reaction back to childhood?
What if some days you're simply tired, irritated, sad, excited, messy, uncertain...
Human.
There has to come a point where all the healing work gives you something back.
Your laughter.
Your spontaneity.
Your curiosity.
Your ability to enjoy something without analysing how your nervous system responded to it.
Your bloody life.
Healing shouldn't make you more obsessed with yourself.
It should eventually make you free enough to forget about healing for a while...
and go live.
