Hi All, unfortunately im having technical issues in the clinic today as there are connection issues with Vodafone in the area. I cant receive calls, messages or emails, access my clinical software for my diary or take card payments. If you have an appointment today please bring cash if possible. Yesterday I attended an excellent CPD day on Biomechanics organised by Sarah and Gemma at Stepwise Chiropody, Podiatry & Aesthetics Clinic in Southampton. It was a very informative and hands on course, and I’m looking forward to putting what I’ve learned into my ongoing practice to help patients even more effectively.
Biomechanical assessments can help identify the underlying causes of foot, ankle and lower limb pain, allowing for tailored treatment plans to improve comfort, movement and overall foot health. The day covered the importance of appropriate footwear, the use of insoles and practical techniques to help alleviate a range of foot issues and lower limb pain. I’ll now be able to offer basic biomechanical assessments where needed to help alleviate pain and support better mobility for my patients.
A big thank you to Sarah and Gemma for such a valuable and well organised day! 👣

Apical corns are painful, hard patches of skin that form on the tip of the toes from pressure and rubbing in shoes. With regular treatment, they can be made much more comfortable. I can also offer some simple solutions to offload the area to prevent the corn returning 👣

A patient I treated yesterday for a painful ingrown toenail caused by abnormal nail growth. Treatment has brought immediate relief, they’re now more comfortable and able to wear their new shoes! 🥿😁

I’ve had a fantastic first full week back at the clinic, with lots of happy clients, it’s been lovely to see familiar faces again! 👣💙
I’m also pleased to say that my autoclave has been fully serviced for another year by Excel Healthcare. A big thank you to their engineer Ash, who was excellent as always, keeping everything running safely and smoothly.
