🌊 World Ocean Day 🌊

We had great fun playing an A–Z Ocean and Sea challenge, thinking of as many ocean-related words as we could for every letter of the alphabet! From Anchovies to Zebra Sharks, everyone joined in and shared their ideas.

A lovely way to learn, reminisce, and celebrate the importance of our oceans. 🐠🐚🌊

A lovely afternoon spent playing Snakes and Ladders with our wonderful ladies yesterday! 🎲💜 There was plenty of laughter, friendly competition, and great conversation around the table. It’s amazing how a simple game can bring so much joy and create such special moments together. 😊

🎨✂️ Yesterday afternoon, residents and staff enjoyed a collage-making activity. Everyone got creative, choosing pictures, colours, and designs to make their own unique artwork. It was a fun and relaxing afternoon spent exploring creativity together.

Following on from Ear Ear wax removal’s Ear Health workshop last month, yesterday Lucy & Denise returned to carry out the ear wax removal treatment, and the relief after microsuction was clear to see.

Better hearing, improved comfort, and many very happy residents! 👂

Yesterday, to celebrate World Bee Day 🐝🍯, we learnt some fun facts about bees and honey farming before enjoying a delicious honey tasting session!

We sampled a variety of honeys, including set honey from Jeremy Clarkson’s Diddly Squat Farm, Rowse Dark & Rich honey, and even maple infused honey 🍯✨

It was a lovely way to learn more about the amazing work bees do and to try some very different flavours too!

What a lovely and uplifting Saturday afternoon we had yesterday at Whiteoaks Rest Home.

We were delighted to welcome Paul Pilot and Friends Choir, who gave a wonderful performance that brought so much joy to our residents, staff, and visitors. The beautiful singing created such a warm and cheerful atmosphere, making the afternoon feel truly special and unique.

After the performance, we were pleased to serve some much-deserved refreshments to thank the choir for sharing their time and talents with us.

Panda and Pebbles blessed us with a visit today. These 7 week old babies, siblings of the 2 that visited last week, spent time exploring the home, playing and enjoying plenty of gentle cuddles from residents and staff. A lovely time enjoyed by everyone. 🐾
