Uffington Parish Council

Uffington Parish Council The Parish Council meets on the second Monday of the month in the Thomas Hughes Memorial Hall, at 6.30pm.

Uffington Parish Council in Oxfordshire aims to be a strong voice for residents, working to improve the overall village area, both built and natural, whilst preserving the setting and character of our heritage areas. All residents are welcome to attend and raise any issues - an “open forum” session is held early in the meeting around 7pm. PLEASE SEE THE NOTICE BELOW REGARDING THE FILMING OF 'AM I BEING UNREASONABLE' SCHEDULED TO TAKE PLACE ON WEDNESDAY 24TH JUNE.

ADVANCE NOTICE OF PROPOSED FILMING AT UFFINGTON

Dear Resident,

I am writing to inform you that filming for Am I Being Unreasonable? Series 3, produced by Copbury Productions for BBC, will take place on Uffington High Street and various houses on Packers Lane on Wednesday 24th June, between 12:30 and 23:30.

There will also be a small amount of preparation and strike activity on the day before and after filming. During this time, you may notice filming vehicles and equipment in the area.

While filming on the High Street, a stop/go traffic management system will be in place due to action taking place on the road. This may cause short delays while we are filming; however, traffic will otherwise flow as normal. Please see the attached map for reference.

We have attached a map showing our proposed parking locations for technical vehicles, marked in blue. Access to driveways will be maintained throughout. A member of our security team will cone off these areas the day before we arrive. If you require special arrangements or access to any coned-off parking areas, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Contact details are availble from the Uffington Parish Council clerk.

My apologies if some people find the following post and image offensive.

As has been previously mentioned, the Parish Council has been receiving increasing comments regarding owners not clearing up after their pets.

The attached photo is not of a small poo, but a big poo. It is a big poo that was located about 2 foot from the top of the ramp adjacent to the children's playground. A big poo that a playing child or accompanying adult could very easily have stepped on. A big poo that it would have been very hard for the owner of the dog not to have noticed!!

It is appreciated that 99.999999% of dog owners are responsible individuals and respect the surroundings and clean up after their pets. For the remaining individuals, please remember that not clearing up after your pet in a public place is a offence, not just a criminal one but one against the lovely village of Uffington.
