🕊️🌿 PSA TO ALL LOCAL FAMILIES 🌿🕊️

This morning I visited the Olive Branch Children’s Clothing Exchange at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Farnborough with one of my clients and I just had to share this amazing community resource 💚

Today’s postpartum session held so much tenderness and truth. Between pages, pauses and processing, we reflected on my client’s recent court hearing and began preparing for the next steps ahead.

So much of this work is holding space for trauma layered upon trauma - acknowledging compounded harm while making sure she feels seen, heard, validated and supported every step of the way. 🤍

Baby classes are not about “perfect participation” 👈🏼

If you come to a session and your baby needs feeding, changing, cuddling, or just a moment to take it all in… that’s completely normal.

That’s not a disruption - that is the session.

Today, little baby 🍅 wasn’t feeling massage. Instead they wanted to be held, gently rocked and watch the world outside.

So that’s exactly what we did ✨

And in that moment, while baby felt calm and safe, mum had the space to ask questions and receive support around breastfeeding.

No pressure. No stress.
Just meeting both mum and baby exactly where they were 🤍

This is how it should be - flexible, responsive and supportive.

Because when parents feel at ease, babies do too 🤍

💜 Purple Day 💜
26th March 2026

As a doula, I hold space for families through some of the most powerful and vulnerable moments of their lives. But this awareness is also deeply personal to me.

My 3yr old daughter lives with epilepsy and she teaches me every day what true strength looks like. She is my why 💜

Supporting families means seeing the whole picture - the joys, the fears, the unknowns and the resilience that lives within all of it. Epilepsy is often invisible, but its impact is not. And for many parents, especially in the early years, it can feel incredibly isolating.

So today, I wore purple not just in awareness, but in solidarity with every parent navigating this path and every child living it so bravely.

Let’s continue to raise awareness, hold space and support each other.

Those quiet overnight hours with a baby can feel a lot…

I recently spent a night supporting a lovely mum and her little one, whilst she was solo parenting and honestly, it’s such a privilege to be trusted in those moments.

She sent me this after:
❤️ “Julia was recommended to me to help me overnight with my 5 month baby boy. Julia’s calm presence meant I was able to sleep knowing my little boy was being cared for as though he was her own. She provided a listening ear as well as excellent recommendations for further support with feeding. If we hadn’t come across Julia, my feeding issues potentially wouldn’t have been resolved. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.” ❤️

Getting mums some proper rest and helping with feeding support is exactly why I do what I do 🤍

If you’re in the thick of it right now - you’re doing amazing and you don’t have to do it alone.

A quiet morning of postpartum advocacy support.

Books, notes and thoughtful conversations while supporting a mother through a deeply sensitive chapter of early motherhood. Holding space, strengthening coping tools and helping her find steadiness as she navigates this complex and difficult time.

Parenthood isn’t linear. Postpartum support isn’t one-size-fits-all. Advocacy and emotional support matter. ❤️‍🩹

Postnatal support can look so different for everyone 🤍

Today I accompanied my client to an appointment and while she enjoyed some much deserved pamper time, Baby B and I chilled in the café next door.

Mama got her hair done, had a moment to herself and could fully relax knowing her baby was safe, settled and cared for.

This is your reminder that you get to choose how you use your support - whether that’s practical help, emotional support, rest, appointments, or simply having space to feel like you again.

There’s no “right” way to do postpartum. Recovery is individual and your needs are allowed to change at every stage.

Support should fit your life, not the other way around ✨
