Anxiety in the Pandemic, why you're told it's your fault.
"During this time there is so much shame and inability to communicate, a lack of tolerance for alternative or different views, censorship. All of these things are on the rise, all of these things cause alienation and create an environment where you don’t feel free to communicate openly, open communication is necessary for good mental health. The ability to have a discourse, to have a debate, to disagree, integral for healthy and thriving societies, all of these things are being foreclosed…. Perhaps together we can work to construct alternatives. Where we can look to traditions, where we can look to the vanguard of modern philosophers and thinkers, to create solutions that are outside of the box, because you know, inside of the box is only incarceration. We have to go outside of the box now, we have no choice.
It is necessary for all of us to acknowledge that there is a spiritual dimension to our lives. Spiritual simply means wellbeing, the way that we feel. We need to incorporate meditation, prayer, focus, transcendence from our ordinary life and the recognition that our material life cannot fulfil us.
