We are looking for a compassionate, reliable, and engaging female Care Assistant to provide one-to-one companionship and support for a female client with complex needs.

However, a second carer will attend during these hours to complete all complex care tasks, including moving and handling and personal care, to ensure her needs are safely supported. This role is specifically focused on sitting visits and companionship β€” providing meaningful conversation, encouragement, reassurance, emotional support, and engaging activities to help make each day enjoyable while promoting the client’s wellbeing and quality of life.

The ideal candidate will:

* Have clear spoken English and excellent communication skills.
* Be friendly, confident, and enjoy meaningful conversation.
* Be creative in planning activities and keeping the client engaged.
* Recognise when the client would prefer quiet time and rest.
* Monitor the client’s wellbeing and report any concerns promptly.
* Support daily stretches and exercises by following a physiotherapy programme.
* Encourage food and fluid intake throughout the day.
* Assist with personal care around lunchtime alongside the second carer if required, ensuring care is delivered safely.
* Help maintain a tidy and organised bedroom, including occasional filing and organising personal items.
* Be patient, compassionate, respectful, and committed to person-centred care.

Previous experience supporting individuals with complex needs is preferred. We are looking for someone with the right attitude, empathy, and willingness to learn.

Today, two members of our ABCLivein Care team visited local hospitals to spread awareness of the care and support we provide across Hampshire. πŸ’™

They visited Farnham Hospital and Centre for Health, Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital, and Frimley Park Hospital, where they had the opportunity to introduce our services, leave our information leaflets on display, and connect with teams who support patients and families every day.

As a small thank you, we also provided the discharge teams with ABCLivein Care goody bags filled with personalised items, including bottles, pens, service guides, and useful information about how we can support people returning home or needing additional care. πŸ₯✨

Thank you to everyone who welcomed us today β€” we look forward to building stronger connections within our local community. πŸ’™
