On Sunday I had the privilege of accompanying a Lady with the most gorgeous smile 😊 to her grandson’s Jewish wedding at the stunning Northbrook Park. The setting could not have been more perfect—glorious sunshine, the grounds were a picture of elegance, providing a magnificent backdrop for such a deeply meaningful occasion.

From the heartfelt traditions that honoured heritage and family, to the joyous energy of the celebration, šŸŽ‰ The guest list was a true reflection of the couple’s vibrant community, and the atmosphere was electric with happiness.

The music was exceptional, lifting spirits and filling the marquee with life, while the food was nothing short of superb—thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. It was a day that seamlessly blended ritual, romance, and rejoicing.

A truly memorable celebration, and an absolute pleasure to witness. Wishing the happy couple a lifetime of love and laughter. And thank you for all the laughter you provided me with. šŸ’•

This week in elderly care has been a rollercoaster of emotions—from the gentle to the joyful.

I've sat with someone at the end of their life, using hand and foot massages to help them feel comfortable and at peace. šŸ•Šļø brought them bits and pieces to help with eating and drinking when bedbound and bought an amazing diffuser set to make the room smell nice., and picked some lavender to leave on her pillow.

At the same time, this week I've been:
🐓 Picking horses for Goodwood with clients and watching the races together to see who wins!
🧦 Putting on thigh high compression stockings to help with recovery from a hip replacement (they are so tough!)
šŸ’… Painting another lady's fingernails
🌿 Completely de-weeding a garden
šŸŽµ Gifting a whole bunch of new CDs to a music-lover
šŸ›’ Helping a lady walk to Sainsbury's again after being stuck indoors during the heat
šŸ² Cooking meals for a client and her friend
šŸ’’ And now looking forward to Chaperoning an elderly lady to a Wedding for the whole day on Sunday— I can’t wait to see her smile 😊

This is what care really looks like. It's not just personal care—it's holding space for life, laughter, tears, and tiny victories. Every single client is different, and every day asks something new of us.

If you're looking for care that sees the whole person—not just their needs—im here. šŸ’›

Beat the heat and back outside this week at last! ā˜€ļøšŸŒæ

After weeks of falr too hot temperatures, it’s been an absolute joy this week to get our clients back out into the fresh air. Whether it was a classic pub lunch, a peaceful moment in their beloved garden, or simply soaking up the sun on their balcony—seeing those smiles says it all.

Fresh air, good company, and a little bit of freedom—that’s what quality care looks like. šŸ’™

One of my lovely ladies in her early 80s always thought she was too old for jeans. Well, today i changed that! šŸ’•

I finally managed to persuade her to try a summer pair on, styled them with a classic white T-shirt, some new summer sandals, and a beautiful set of Mark Jacob sunglasses, and honestly Her eyes just lit up. 🤩 ļæ¼ when she looked in the mirror šŸŖž She told me she felt great , and loved how they looked on her, she had also dropped two dress sizes and you couldļæ¼ see the happiness of her reflection radiating from her. ā¤ļøā¤ļø

Moments like this are what care is all about to me. Yes, i help with medication, showers, and meals, outings, —but it's so much more than that. It's about making somebody feel good from the inside out. It's about dignity, confidence, and reminding them that they're still every bit the person they've always been, and you can look fabulous whatever your age! She’s still young! And very much so in her mind & humour! She gives me a run for my money šŸ˜‚

That's the heart of what I do. And I love every minute of it.. confidence needs to come from within šŸ’• and all the other things fall into place.

One of my lovely ladies always asks about my grandchildren and wanted to meet them if they weren’t in nursery, so my daughter bought one over last week to come and play football in her garden water her plants and so she could spoil him as sweet ā¤ļøā¤ļø she had a great time and hasn’t stopped talking about it.

For years, I’ve shown up in people’s homes—helping with meals, rides out, coffees, personal care, meds, and the little things that make aging feel less lonely. I’ve laughed with your parents, listened to their stories, and held their hands on hard days. Been their in the tears.

But there’s one part of this work that keeps gently touching my heart. The end.

So I’m combining my professional care skills with my ability to make some feel, loved & safe in their final days & hours.

Not in a sad or scary way—but in a sacred, deeply human way. ā¤ļø

So I’ve decided to take a step I never planned on: to become a death doula, and I’m bringing it into my elderly care business.

What does that mean? It means sitting with someone as they near the end of life. Helping them write down what matters. Holding space for their fears, their memories, hold their hands, recording voice notes for family, their quiet moments. Pain management recognition, pampering, music, Supporting their family so they don't have to figure it all out alone in the dark. Guidance on what to do after.

It means treating death not as a medical failure, but as a natural, meaningful part of living.

I’ve watched too many families wish they'd had more guidance, more presence, more permission to just be in those final days. I want to change that.

This feels less like a business decision and more like a promise.

If this speaks to you—whether for yourself, a parent, or someone you love—please send me a message. I'd be honored to walk beside you to make this journey less scary. šŸ’•

I love my Mrs. W., she can say cheeky funny things to me and we laugh our heads off as we have the same sense of hum , we were just in her kitchen and I was dancing around to Rod Stewart Do you think I’m sexy, and she said I was a little worried when I was first told I needed a carer but realised I needed help, I thought they would be boring, & I would just have to put up with it and then YOU came along & are a crazy fun lady full of beans ā¤ļø dancing all over my kitchen 🤣🤣 I have so much love for this Lady ā¤ļøā¤ļø
