Did you know that getting a deep latch on a bottle is just as important as getting a deep latch on the breast?

This is why 👇
⭐ Engaging jaw muscles to work
⭐ Long term hard palate shaping
⭐ Correct tongue position.

All of these areas play into the development of your baby's jaw and teeth as they grow.

Here's how to get a deep latch on a bottle that doesn't have the ideal V shaped test.

Now this is a lovely bottle. And one I would highly recommend.
Why?
✅ V shaped teat to fill your baby's mouth and provide a deep latch
✅ Straight bottle edge
✅ Keeping it simple - no fiddly anti- colic bits!

🟧 Fast flow standard teat. You can get slow flow teats but these are still faster than other brands.

Reflux symptoms in a bottle fed baby?

Try these tips:

1️⃣ Smaller feeds - formula companies give directions for making up huge volumes of milk per feed. This is not ideal for babies who have small stomachs

2️⃣ More frequent feeds - babies are designed to feed little and often. Offer smaller feeds more frequently.

3️⃣ Pace feeding - upright position with bottle horizontal to the floor. This helps baby stay in charge of the flow of milk, preventing them from gulping and over feeding

Here's another bottle review. I have plenty on my grid now, so head over for the others.

This is the only Non drip baby bottle on the market. So what does that mean?

⭐ It doesn't drip milk from the teat when held up side down⭐

✅ Helps maintain a strong suck reflex for baby as they are having to use their muscles and tongue to get the milk from the bottle
✅ Doesn't leak if knocked over in your bag
✅ Straight sided bottle 🍼 great for pace feeding
✅ Different size teats
✅ Good for a baby who gulps down feeds as it slows them down, preventing wind + over feeding.

🟧 Not an ideal shape teat
🟧 Small babies/ premature babies may struggle to get the milk out

You don't need to be spending 💰🤑💰 on a bottle

I highly recommend the cheap supermarket/ pharmacy own ones.

And it's not because they're cheap.
✅ Straight bottle shape
✅ 60ml bottle size!
✅ Teat shape and size is perfect for a newborn
✅ Medium flow rate
✅ Cheap! Bonus points for that one.

These bottles are perfect for a newborn, small or premature baby

Why do I like a zero flow teat?

They're great for getting baby's to engage all their jaw/ mouth/ tongues muscles when feeding

Baby also has full control over the flow of milk from the bottle

These are great for a full term healthy baby.

If your baby is struggling using these teats you can go up a size. Or use a teat with a slow flow.

Confused 🤔

So am I!

There are so many bottles to choose from.

This can be a good thing, because it's not a one size fits all situation.

One bottle might work perfectly for one baby and not for another.

Follow along as I review all these bottles and give you some guidance and advice on what to look for when choosing a bottle for your baby.
