Do you have a breast that's not pulling their weight?

It's really common for one breast to not produce as much milk as the other.

Usually this is down to biology and no amount of expressing will help!

Your breasts contain Milk ducts that produce milk. You may have a different amount in each breast, for example you might have 4 in your Left and 8 your right.

Your baby might need both Left and right breast when feeding from your Left. But might be completely happy with just your Right breast at another feed.

✅ Keep feeding from both breasts
✅ Don't stress about it
✅ You can still successfully feed your baby with both your breasts!

Night 🌉 + day 🌅

And yes your breast milk knows the difference!

🌉 Night milk is fattier and contains the hormone melatonin - this help is feel sleepy

🌅 Day milk is full of amino acids and the hormone Cortisol this helps baby with bursts of energy and keeps them alert and awake.

This is important to understand if you are expressing your milk and offering it to your baby.
If you can try to give your baby milk which has been expressed in the day during the day and night milk for night feeds.
