A Magic Moment for a very special birthday. 🌿💚

To celebrate her 90th birthday, our lovely Client wanted to spend her day at Longacres Garden Centre, choosing some new plants and enjoying a browse around the shop.

Our wonderful Carer, Sarah, made it happen, creating another Magic Moment by helping her celebrate the day doing something she loves. 🎉

With the summer temperatures still remaining high, it's important to stay cool and hydrated, especially for older adults.

Here are a few simple ways to keep safe in the heat:
☀️ Drink plenty of water
☀️ Keep curtains closed during the hottest part of the day
☀️ Wear light, breathable clothing
☀️ Go for gentle walks early in the morning or later in the evening
☀️ Cool down regularly with a damp flannel on your neck and wrists

Moments like this are what care is all about. One of our lovely Clients wanted to learn how to knit again, so with encouragement from his Carers, he picked it back up. He's now knitting blanket squares to donate to people who need them - proving that a little support can make a big impact! 🧡
