After tonight’s Summer Blend Pilates class and hypnosis… I probably picked the worst time to film this week’s Swimming Exercise Challenge! 🤣🙈 Safe to say I was feeling a little wiped out!

A huge thank you to Catherine from for the amazing hypnosis session beforehand. 💛 I think you can tell from this video just how relaxed I was! 😂

But that’s the beauty of Pilates – it’s not about being perfect, it’s about showing up, working with your body, and getting a little bit stronger each time. 💙

The Swimming exercise is fantastic for strengthening the muscles that support your spine and improving posture. Don’t worry if the full version isn’t for you yet – start with just the arms, just the legs, or the hands-and-knees progression. Every variation counts!

Who’s joining me this week? 💪 Let me know which version you’re trying and how you get on!

🌟💫 Swimming Challenge (Pilates Exercise) 💫🌟

Today I’m showing both Swimming Prep and the full Swimming exercise… with a little help from Zaine, who took on the full Swimming variation! 💪🤩

This exercise is fantastic for strengthening the muscles that support your posture and spine. It can also highlight areas of weakness, giving you the opportunity to improve them over time. And don’t be fooled… Swimming Prep isn’t necessarily the easy option! 😉

Are you joining in this week’s challenge?

⏱️ We’d love to know:
✨ Which variation did you choose?
✨ How long did you manage?

Pop your answers in the comments and let us know how you got on! 🤩

This week’s challenge is all about the Pilates Swimming exercise! 🏊‍♀️

Last week we worked on the progressions in class and in my videos, starting on hands and knees. This week, we’re ready to take it a step further.

Try:
✨ Just the arms
✨ Just the legs
✨ Opposite arm and opposite leg

Can you keep that coordination? 😜

Swimming is a fantastic exercise for strengthening the muscles along the back of the body, helping to improve posture, support your spine, and make everyday movements feel easier.

This week’s challenge is all about moving with control, breathing well, and seeing how long you can keep good technique. Remember, you can choose the variation that works best for you—there’s no right or wrong level.

Are you in? Let me know which variation you’ll be trying! 💙

Saturday selfie 🤳✨

This one was taken in my treatment room… alongside the beautiful yellow roses that one of my lovely clients surprised me with today. 💛🌹 Such a thoughtful gesture that really made my day.

What a fantastic week it’s been! I was absolutely thrilled to be **nominated **as “female therapist” in the health and wellbeing awards. It truly is an incredible honour, and I’m so grateful for this amazing opportunity. 💛

This week has also reminded me just how lucky I am to do what I love. From my amazing Pilates and Move to Mend classes to helping clients in the treatment room, I feel incredibly grateful to be part of so many people’s health and wellbeing journeys.

I’m aiming to become a finalist at the awards and need around 80 votes to get there. If I’ve ever helped you in any way—through massage, Pilates, Move to Mend, or simply with advice—I would be so grateful if you could spare a moment to vote for me.

Thank you so much to everyone who has supported me, attended my classes, trusted me with your treatment, shared my posts, voted for me, or simply cheered me on. It really does mean the world. 🫶

To top the week off, I had three clients this morning with fantastic results, and I was surprised with these beautiful yellow roses. Moments like these remind me why I love what I do.

Feeling very grateful today. Wishing you all a lovely weekend! ☀️

✨ Every movement counts. ✨

This Move to Mend variation may look simple, but it challenges the body in all the right ways.

Using the chair for support, we’re practising opposite arm and opposite leg movements while maintaining a stable, controlled pelvis.

This exercise helps to improve:
🌿 Pelvic stability
🌿 Core control
🌿 Balance
🌿 Coordination
🌿 Confidence in everyday movement

The aim isn’t to move as big as you can—it’s to move with control. Keeping that Pilates connection helps your body stay steady as your arms and legs move, building strength and stability that transfers into everyday activities like walking, climbing stairs and reaching.

Small, consistent movements really do add up.

Small steps today can make a big difference to your quality of life tomorrow. 💚

I’m incredibly honoured and grateful to have been nominated for the Bolton Health & Wellbeing Awards. 🫶✨

To whoever took the time to nominate me—thank you from the bottom of my heart. It means more than you know.

Helping people move with more confidence, reduce pain and improve their quality of life is why I do what I do. Whether it’s through Pilates, Move to Mend, massage therapy or community classes, seeing people achieve things they didn’t think were possible is the greatest reward.

This nomination is a reminder that the small things really do make a difference.

Thank you to all of my amazing clients and class members for trusting me to be part of your journey. ❤️

If you’d like to support me, I’d be so grateful if you could take a minute to vote using the link below:

It might look simple… but don’t let it fool you! 👀

This is another one of my favourite ways to build stability and control from a hands-and-knees position.

By slowly sliding one leg away while keeping the rest of the body as still as possible, you’re encouraging your core, hips and pelvis to work together to control the movement.

✨ A few tips:
✔️ Find your Pilates connection first by gently engaging your deep core muscles.
✔️ Use that connection to help stabilise your pelvis throughout the movement.
✔️ Try to avoid rocking from side to side.
✔️ Move slowly and with control.
✔️ Breathe throughout the exercise.

Remember, it’s not about how far you can slide your leg—it’s about maintaining good control and quality of movement. Strong foundations make everyday movement easier and more confident.

Give it a go and let me know how you get on! 💚

✨ Start with the basics. ✨

This is exactly where I would begin teaching this movement.

By stripping it right back, we can focus on what really matters:
✅ Keeping the body stable
✅ Engaging the core
✅ Controlling the movement
✅ Building confidence before progressing

It might look simple… but give it a try! 👀 You’ll soon realise it’s much harder than it looks. Sometimes the smallest movements are the ones that teach us the most.

Master the foundations first, and everything else becomes easier. 💪

Another special mention has to go to this lovely man… Rod. ❤️

I had the pleasure of treating him last week, but he’s so much more than a client. Rod is an incredible friend and the person who first introduced me to NLP.

He opened my eyes to so much of the “stuff” that was going on in my own head. Looking back, I realised I didn’t need to change my life—I needed to change the way I was thinking about it. My mind needed a complete rewire.

I remember a time when all I wanted was to feel happy again… like I did when I was younger and carefree. I thought buying more things or chasing the next goal would make that happen. But it wasn’t the external things I needed at all. I needed to understand what was going on inside.

With Rod’s help, I did.

Thank you, Rod, for challenging me, helping me see things differently, and giving me the tools to create a happier, calmer version of myself. I’ll always be grateful. ❤️
