When friends suggested a trip to Southern France to make our own MM pilgrim, or at least part of.. I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect ? Long walks ? religious effort ?
I’ll talk more through my Substack , but want to make a corner of this page be use it was more than I expected.
My mum was never truly respected and honoured in this world. Hardships and grief, violations and oppression.
I had held onto her ashes for 7 years. Following a session with a friend, Corinne - another story here but a truly respectable woman with her own story and a To***co Ceremony later, I felt deep in my heart I had to release mums ashes .
So part of her ashes travelled to France with me .
On reflection, I’m wondering if MM story feels strangely familiar, not only to my mums, but to many women. We know what it’s like to be misunderstood, to be forgotten , to be oppressed.
Our week in France helped re write some of those stories - to truly remember my mum , and her energy was so potent .
I was reminded that this energy as
Woman as a teacher, healer, lover, mystic and initiate lives in us all.
My mum walked her path of devotion to men in her life and her children . Even though, in the end, it cost her hers.
She showed true love and throughout the week , it softly found me.
The remembering
The softness
The tears
The laughter
The cake
All of it
I’m very grateful to my friends who made it happen , to my sister, Carla who knows we will travel to other sites to let me be free again .
So much to say but I think it speaks for itself
You must read Meggan Watterson Mary Magdalene revealed- it’s truly wonderful ❤️
If you’re keen - watch out I’ll share my latest podcast of our natters in the forest and the beautiful choir we witnessed at Saint Maxim
