Over 60% of parents who attend a Mini First Aid class tell us that choking is their number one first aid concern.

When your baby starts weaning and moving onto solid foods, choking becomes a real fear.

The advice about what to do if your child is choking depends on the age of your child. Back slaps, chest thrusts, and abdominal thrusts are all things that we demonstrate in our baby & child first aid classes. You get demonstrations and practical, hands-on experience trying these techniques on life-size manikins which we know is the very best way to learn and remember.

We can't always prevent an incident like choking but learning life-saving skills gives us the confidence to remain calm and do all that we can if an emergency situation arises.

Recently we teamed up with Expectant Escapes to provide our 2hr Baby and Child First courses. A weekend designed for expectant parents to be given all the information and knowledge they need as they step into the next chapters as Parents. 🎉 GIVEAWAY! Mini First Aid Kids workshops for 60 children!

, trusted by the nation for generations, has teamed up with Mini First Aid to offer FIVE lucky schools in our area first aid workshops for up to 60 children each.

To nominate your school for the FREE first aid workshops, please head to the link and tap on the giveaway tab to fill in the nomination form. Please also share so that all of our brilliant local schools have the opportunity to apply.

Winners will be selected at random on Monday 9th October and notified by email.

Mini First Aid Kids is award-winning and meets National Curriculum requirements. Designed for children aged 7-11, they will learn to deal with bumps, breaks and bleeding, carry out CPR, and learn to deal with choking. Our practical classes are fun and hands-on so that children remember the skills learned and have the potential to be real-life superheroes!

Mini First Aid is the UK's largest specialist Paediatric First Aid training company, having appeared on Dragons' Den, securing investment from Sara Davies MBE. Our classes are certified by The First Aid Industry Body, Association of First Aiders and the Federation of First Aid Training Organisation.

Today I had the pleasure of meeting Dionne from Lillie's Lodge in Dover.
Lillie's Lodge is a rehoming/Homeless shelter for new parents and families who need the extra support to help them get back on their feet. What Dionne offers is an incredible service and we was only too delighted to provide our Baby and Child First Aid Class to her current tenants. And we are looking forward to continuing to work closely with Lillies Lodge in future to give new families the skills and knowledge of First Aid. Thank you for having us 💚💚💚
