6 WEEKS POST FULLY ABLATIVE LASER RESURFACING

Six weeks in and I’m genuinely seeing improvements every single day! My skin continues to heal, change and settle, and I’m really pleased with how my results are progressing.

I’m still being very strict with my aftercare and, importantly, I haven’t introduced any products that aren’t appropriate for this stage of my recovery. Even though my skin looks much more ‘normal’ on the surface, the new skin is still healing and the barrier is continuing to strengthen underneath.

It can be tempting at this stage to start adding back all your usual skincare, but I’m resisting that urge! 🙌🏼 Slow and steady is definitely the approach with fully ablative resurfacing.

I’m continuing to protect my skin, keep it hydrated and follow my post-treatment advice carefully. Every week brings another little change, and I’m excited to see how my skin continues to improve over the coming weeks and months.

Bruising is a common and completely normal side effect of injectable treatments. Even with the most careful technique, small blood vessels can sometimes be nicked, causing temporary bruising or tenderness. It usually settles naturally within a few days, although everyone’s healing time is different aesthetics

POST FULLY ABLATIVE LASER RESURFACING ( glasses are the same colour as my face )

Five weeks on and I’m really starting to see the transformation come through! At this stage, the skin is continuing to settle and regenerate, and while some pinkness, sensitivity and occasional flushing can still be present, the texture is feeling smoother, the skin is looking fresher and I feel that a lovely healthy glow is beginning to emerge

Week 5 is very much about patience and letting the skin continue its healing journey, the final results don’t happen overnight, and collagen remodelling continues for months. I’m still being careful with my skin just using the occlusive gel and avoiding direct sun, but I’m absolutely loving seeing the progress.

It’s been a journey, but honestly I would do it again !

Just 26 days post fully ablative laser resurfacing still a bit red as expected but my skin is looking so much better and will continue to improve over the coming months

Week 3 post fully ablative laser resurfacing

Where has that 3 weeks gone, it seems like yesterday that I had the procedure! I’m so pleased to date, my skin is still red which is normal as I am still healing.
Still complying with the treatment plan which is twice daily showers and the application of Neova CU3 tissue repair cream, which gives me an occlusive barrier over the face and stops me drying out and protects against the elements.

I can’t wait see the final results although I know this is a long process and won’t happen overnight.

I will put together some before after pics and share the results so far when I get 5 mins to go through my phone 😊

Day 19 Post Fully ablative laser resurfacing.

I can’t stress enough the importance of protecting our skin from rays and for me I need to stay out of direct sunlight for a minimum of 6 weeks, which is not an easy task.
However the hat with its wide brim does help protect and is recommended by dermatologists so I bought two 😂

Have a lovely weekend and I will give you an update next week

Day 16 post fully ablative laser resurfacing and back in my clinic today catching up with all my lovely patients, not looking too red

28/07/2026

Day 14 and what a difference two weeks can make, just had a shower and about to apply my recovery balm, still got a little bit of dryness around the peri oral area which should settle over the next few days but the rest of my face is looking nice and smooth
