Congratulations to our Optima Opticians Under-13 Lightning whose two teams both progressed to the semi-finals of the Deal Town Rangers summer tournament.

Unfortunately that was the end of the road as both suffered the heartache of defeat on penalties. Credit to the group who played some excellent football throughout, and with only one sub between them worked exceptionally hard in the sun.

⚽️ Congratulations to our three Optima Opticians Under-13 Lightning Heroes of the Match – Maguire, Jo Cooper and Kiah!

📣 In a midweek friendly against our good friends Herne Bay Harriers, Maguire impressed with his fantastic attitude and energy, Jo Cooper produced an all-action display in midfield, and Kiah was a constant menace up front throughout the game.

⚽️ Goals came from Zakk E and Kiah (2), all from well-worked team moves in a strong overall performance.

Both were in electric form as their team beat Herne Bay Harriers 5-3 in a thrilling friendly.

The goals came from Zakk E (two), Zach M, Archie C and Elliott J
