Stress is part of life and your nerve system relates your stress reactions into the tension, tone, position, shape of your spine and life.

Typically when your Vagus nerve is stressed, you can experience a lack of control, feel trapped, anxious, panicky, overwhelmed, desperate and or withdrawn. Not surprisingly, this plays havoc with your social behaviour and cooperation. Polyvagal stress is also linked with changes in your autonomic (involuntary or unconscious) nervous system.

The hands on care that I provide is well placed to help you move away from spine and nerve system stress, and towards playfulness and health.

Because my practical objective is to correct nerve interference. YES more often than not the correction of nerve interference gets people comfortable with their PAIN or out of PAIN. Pain may be why you start your Chiropractic journey; however, it’s not why you stay and thrive.

Looking at the world it’s odd to see so many people walking using their phones or at social events looking down to their phone.

In my opinion it’s you phone or wellness?

It’s your choice to live a life with your head buried in a phone or not! It is up to you to appreciate the gravity of this situation! Remembering your choices today will affect your health today and in the future.

Let me share with you why you want to spend much less time with your phone. At the least for the sake of your neck! What you have here is my feelings and thoughts based on reductive and deductive reasoning and are based on general laws of life.

The hypothesis/question: Is holding your chin to your chest is stressful for your body.

What some evidence sates and my interpretation is:

🗣️1st know this, you cannot feel 95% of what is happening in your nerve system

👾 2nd, & 🤖 3rd, Videman found that immobilisation is a cause of osteoarthritis and delayed healing. Also, consider that Videman saw how scar-tissue is deposited immediately upon immobilisation.

Are you creating static tension for minutes/hours or even days on end without movement or rest?

4th, When you have significant stress such as holding your head over your chest for long periods of time, these problems aren’t noticed or corrected early on.

Can you change the world? Yes, one spine at a time. Put your phone down and imagine a life with your head and heart lifted; look around the world is a beautiful place. We need more people being conscious of themselves and their immediate environment.

Posture isn’t just how you look — it’s how your body functions. Every slouch, every lift of the chin, every curve in your spine communicates something to your brain and tells your muscles how to work. 🧠💪

Good posture doesn’t mean standing “perfectly still” like a statue. It means your body is:

✔️ Balanced
✔️ Supported
✔️ Efficient
✔️ Pain-free (or closer to it!)

Here’s the truth:

👉 Your posture influences your breathing, nervous system, mood, and even confidence.
👉 Poor posture makes your muscles work harder than they should — leading to tightness, aches, and fatigue.
👉 Improving posture is more than “standing tall” — it’s about how your body moves and adapts every day.

Check in with yourself right now — are your shoulders rounded forward? Is your head jutting ahead of your spine? Take a breath, soften, and reset.

“It’s just a little arthritis.”

That’s something we hear often — but arthritis doesn’t usually appear overnight, and it doesn’t always begin with pain.

In its early stages, joint degeneration can be silent. Over time, poor posture, spinal misalignment, and repetitive stress can change how weight is distributed through the body. When that happens, certain joints take on more pressure than they were designed to handle.

Many people assume this is simply “getting older.” But in many cases, it’s the result of years of unaddressed mechanical stress.

The spine is meant to have healthy curves that absorb shock and support movement. When you stop using you hips to move and those normal curves are altered, it can accelerate wear and tear.

The key takeaway?

Early awareness matters. Proactive care matters. Movement matters.

Small daily habits can influence long-term joint health more than we realize.

Still, people hesitate to seek help or even talk about it with their loved ones for fear of being judged and facing unnecessary backlash. Simple logic dictates that if we are hurt anywhere, we must seek treatment to get better. This applies to both our mental- and physical well-being.

Your posture is something you need to be careful of. So let’s celebrate “Correct” Posture Month by giving you some information to determine how your posture may be affecting your wellness. By taking steps to understand your posture, you could reduce some of the pains and aches you’re experiencing in your body.

Good posture is more than just standing up straight. Having your body in the optimal position can prevent pain, injuries, or other health problems. There could be many reasons why your posture has changed from upright to uptight. It could be because of how your day-to-day habits are causing you to compensate and contract, or it may be because of a past injury or illness. Or because of a innate reason that you have no control over. Or it could also be a combination of all these factors.

Considering some of the underlying factors that interfere with good posture might help guide you to make effective lifestyle changes or seek help.

Your pain is the breaking of the shell that encloses your understanding.
Even as the stone of the fruit must break, that its heart may stand in the sun, so must you know pain.
And could you keep your heart in wonder at the daily miracles of your life, your pain would not seem less wondrous than your joy;
