Ferndown team get to know each resident, including their needs, interests and tastes, tailoring their care and lifestyle plans to suit each individual. They carefully plan a wide range of group and one-to-one activities such as music sessions, outings and growing vegetables in the garden.

day our residents had a wonderful day filled with fun and relaxation! 🧁☀️

Some of our residents enjoyed baking delicious cupcakes, taking turns to mix the ingredients, bake them, and decorate them with their own creative flair. The end result was absolutely delicious, and everyone was proud of what they had made!

Meanwhile, others enjoyed a quieter morning with a lovely trip to Midford Quay. They soaked up the morning sunshine while enjoying a nice cup of tea and watching the children try their hand at crabbing. It was a peaceful and enjoyable outing for everyone.

A lovely day spent making memories, sharing smiles, and enjoying the simple pleasures together. 💜 ,

This week our residents have enjoyed a wonderful Alice in Wonderland tea party! ☕🎩🐇

Everyone joined in to help create the decorations, making special afternoon filled with fun, laughter, and creativity.

We have also been busy designing our bunting for the upcoming Summer Fair, inspired by the “Taste of Home” theme. We can’t wait to see all of the colourful creations on display!

This week has truly highlighted teamwork at its very best. Every single member of staff pulled together, supported one another, and went above and beyond to ensure our residents continued to receive the highest standard of care.

Huge congratulations to our Unit Manager, Hannah! 🌟

We’re so proud to share that Hannah has been offered a place on the BAc (Hons) Adult Nursing course at Bournemouth University and will begin her nurse training this September – a dream she has worked towards for a very long time.

Hannah’s drive and determination inspire us all, and we know she’ll do brilliantly. To top it off, she has also received her 5-Year Achievement Award for her dedicated service at Ferndown Manor.

Everyone at Ferndown Manor would like to say a huge congratulations to Roxanna on graduating with a BSc (Hons) in Business and Healthcare Management from Anglia Ruskin University.
