☀️🎉 What an incredible Summer Party! 🎉☀️
What a truly wonderful day we had at Summerhill 💚

Our Summer Party was a huge success, filled with laughter, happiness, love, and so many special moments that we'll cherish for a long time.

It was amazing to see so many residents, families, friends, and visitors come together to celebrate with us. We were also delighted to be joined by our owners, Chet and his family, whose support means so much to everyone at Summerhill.

A huge thank you to Nick Seller for keeping us all entertained with fantastic live music, to Simon from Brighter Balloons for creating wonderful balloon displays that brought even more smiles to the day and Wayne for keeping our bellies full with the BBQ!

Finally, thank you to everyone who helped make the day so memorable—our incredible staff, volunteers, families, and everyone who came along. Your support, kindness, and enthusiasm made it a truly special celebration.

🦋 There's something truly magical about our butterfly tree at Summerhill Care Home. 🦋

Our residents have been spending time in the garden enjoying the beautiful sight of butterflies fluttering from flower to flower. It's a peaceful moment that has brought so many smiles and sparked wonderful conversations and memories.

Spending time outdoors and connecting with nature has so many benefits for health and wellbeing. It can help reduce stress, lift our mood, encourage mindfulness, and provide gentle sensory stimulation—all while enjoying the fresh air and sunshine. 🌸☀️

⚽️ It's football fever at Summerhill Care Home! 🏆

With everyone getting excited to cheer on England tonight, we decided to hold our very own England team trials to see who had what it takes to earn a place in the squad! 🇬🇧⚽

A huge congratulations to Eve, Joyce and Peter, who impressed us all and have officially secured their places on the Summerhill England team! 👏🎉

As well as being lots of fun, activities like this are fantastic for our residents' health and wellbeing. Kicking the ball and taking part helps improve leg strength, coordination, balance, flexibility, and mobility, while also encouraging social interaction, boosting confidence, and bringing plenty of laughter along the way.

Now all that's left to do is cheer on England and hope our Summerhill stars have passed on some of their winning magic! Come on England! 🦁🦁🦁
