Hi, I’m Deborah, I am the heart and soul behind House of Holistics Scotland, so I help people release emotional blocks, reconnect with themselves, and make lasting change to their lives—all without needing to explain or relive their past. I truly believe that what happens to us doesn’t just stay in our minds but it’s stored in our bodies too. We need to release what’s stuck, not just mentally but

physically and energetically as well if we want lasting change. I’m a certified trainer in Silent Counselling, which is an incredible technique that works with your body’s energy to release trapped emotions very fast!. I use it with all my clients, and I also teach it in training events throughout the year, helping others add it to their own healing practices or use it for personal growth. I also offer Sound Healing sessions, and Akashic Record readings. My goal is always to help people let go of what’s holding them back so they can move forward with clarity, confidence, and freedom. If you’ve been feeling stuck or know there’s something more waiting for you, I am available for 1:1 sessions or If you are interested in becoming a Silent Counselling Practitioner I also offer training events throughout the year. There is always something needing our attention.
Phones. Work. School. Responsibilities. Places to be.
Things to do.
And sometimes, without meaning to, the people we love most get the least of our present moment.

That’s why I created HELD.

A somatic sound bath created for a parent and child to slow down, reconnect and simply be together.

HELD isn’t simply another sound bath.
It’s an intentional space created around connection.
Rather than everyone having their own individual space on their mat, you’ll be encouraged to experience the sound bath together.
You might hold hands.
You might cuddle.
You might lie close beside one another.
You might simply rest shoulder to shoulder.

There is no expectation that you have to talk or interact. The invitation is simply to feel the comfort of being together, sharing the same space, the same stillness and the same experience.
And your relationship can look however it looks.
A mum and daughter.
A dad and son.
A grandparent and grandchild.
An auntie and niece.
A parent and their grown-up child.
There is no age limit on connection.

For years, I thought I was lost.
Now I realise… I was underneath everything I had learned to become.

The moon has to disappear before it can return in full.
And so did I.
I didn’t find her.
I had to reclaim her.

Meet me… the beginning.

I’m Italian. I moved to Scotland when I was four. I grew up feeling like I didn’t quite belong. Not completely Italian. Not completely Scottish. Always feeling a little bit like the odd one out. And I think that feeling stayed with me for much longer than I realised. I was also very quiet and shy.

Life in my late teens got very dark.
At 18, I found myself in an abusive relationship. I was controlled. Manipulated. Frightened. And eventually physically hurt. I stayed because I had been made to believe I needed him.
I finally left the relationship but the damage didn’t.

My confidence had gone. My sense of self had gone. And somewhere along the way… so had I.

I went on to uni and studied Textile Design and met some incredible people. Once I graduated I moved back to Italy. I began building a life with my first love. And for a while, I felt like everything had finally fallen into place.
Until 19 June 2008.
He was killed in a motorbike accident.
And in one moment… the future I thought I had disappeared.

My world collapsed. Then my whole being was flooded with anger, guilt and numbness… which led to years of unspoken grief.

Grief changed me.

Life carried on, because it had to. The years passed and I began to build my life again.

I opened a clothing boutique and some years later I became a mum. I experienced postnatal depression with my first child. And I became very good at putting a smile on my face and getting on with things. From the outside, I was functioning. Inside, I wasn’t doing very well at all.

I moved back to Scotland shortly before my second child was born. I thankfully didn’t suffer from PND, but I remember feeling like I was just going through the motions. And eventually I got to the point where I thought… surely life isn’t supposed to feel like this?
I was screaming for something to change.

Things started to shift around 2019
I started reading personal development books.
Then I started doing courses.
Then another course.
Then another one.
I began exploring the connection between our mind, emotions, body and energy.
I trained.
I learned.
I unlearned.
And slowly, I started finding my way back to myself.

And somehow, my own journey became my work.
The things I had learned to help myself were the very things I eventually started using to help other people.
Everything I dreamed of in those darkest moments and when I first started building myself and my business was slowly coming true.

In 2024, I moved my business into a beautiful office space. A place where I could welcome incredible clients, hold space for people, and watch this little dream of mine begin to take shape.
But as my work changed, evolved and deepened, I realised my business needed to evolve with it. I was being called towards something quieter. More private. More intentional. Somewhere secluded. Somewhere sacred. A space that felt less like an office and more like an extension of the work itself.

2025 – present…
Life now feels perfectly imperfect.
For the last 3 years I have the safe, beautiful, loving relationship I always dreamed of. I have my two children. I have a home that feels like home. The cutest family kitten… and I’m building a business that I am completely, unapologetically in love with.
I live somewhere surrounded by trees and nature, in a place that feels so peaceful and magical. This is also where I get to do my work from.

I’m the woman behind House of Holistics Scotland.
I’m here to help you come back to yourself.
To create space for you to pause.
To feel.
To release.
To reconnect.
And to remember just how powerful you actually are.

I won’t pretend I’ve “healed” and now have life completely figured out. I haven’t.

I’m still learning and continuing to evolve. Still doing my own work. I’ve been through some pretty dark chapters. But I don’t look at my life and wish I could erase them anymore. They’ve shaped who I am. And they’ve brought me to work that I genuinely love.
Perhaps this is why I can sit beside someone in their mess without needing them to hide.
I’ve been there.

The moon needs to disappear before it can come back in full.
And so did I.
