DNA’s - Did Not Attend Appointments

During the month of July we had 70 wasted appointments due to patients not attending, this equates to 2.7% of booked appointments with 3 patients who did not attend more than once. If you are unable to attend the surgery for your appointment please call us on 01253 207050 to let us know or email us at [email protected]

You should receive a text reminder of your appointment so please make sure that we have your latest number on record.

Could you be deleted from our patient list without even knowing? Right now > yes.

NHS England is "cleansing" GP lists (all GP practices in England) to remove "ghost" patients. But it's catching real ones too. Ignore one official letter, and after three months you can be struck off - no warning.

The people most at risk are the ones least likely to notice: older patients, anyone who finds letters hard, anyone who bins them as junk.

So, from all of us here - don't be a ghost:

✅ Tell us when you move
✅ Never ignore an NHS or PCSE letter - reply to it
✅ Check on elderly relatives who might not

If you feel your child has ADHD/ASD there is now a pathway to follow rather than seeing / contacting your GP for a referral. We do have Child and Young Persons mental health clinicians working with the surgery but they do not see any patients until this pathway has been followed.

MenB can cause serious illnesses like meningitis and septicaemia.

You may be eligible if you are:
✅ 17 to 18 years old and born between 1 September 2007 and 31 August 2008
✅ Under 25 and starting university or moving into residential further education for the first time

Eligible 17 to 18-year-olds born between these dates can book online if they’re registered with a GP in England. Eligible under-25s can get vaccinated at a participating pharmacy – no GP registration is needed.

You'll need 2 doses, given at least 4 weeks apart, for the best protection.
