What is Osteopathy?
Osteopathy is usually a combination of massage, articulation, stretching and manipulation. It promotes the body’s innate healing response, in order to improve mobility and reduce pain. Amongst other things, it can help with:
- Back, neck and shoulder pain
- Sports injuries
- Headaches and migraines
- General aches and pains
- Symptoms of Strokes, Osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis and other chronic conditions
To practice Osteopathy, you must have a recognised Osteopathy qualification, which is delivered to a degree level. You must also be registered each yearwith the General Osteopathic Council, whose role is to ensure best practice and protect the interests and health of patients.
