Hi, I’m Katie – a busy mum of two, business owner, and long-time fitness lover living in beautiful Forres in the North East of Scotland. Fitness and health have always been a huge part of my life, and 12 years ago I turned that passion into a career. Since qualifying as an Advanced Level Personal Trainer with the European Institute of Fitness, I’ve helped hundreds of clients transform their lives

– physically and mentally – across Glasgow, New Zealand, Australia, and now back home in Forres. I’m proud to introduce Bodyworks Studio – a brand new, fully equipped private training facility and Forres’s only small group personal training space. Small group PT offers all the benefits of one-to-one coaching with the motivation and energy of training in a supportive group of up to 6 like-minded people. Alongside small group PT, I also offer 1:1 Personal Training, Classes, and Sports & Remedial Massage Therapy – all tailored to help you build sustainable healthy habits that last a lifetime. When I’m not coaching, you’ll find me out adventuring with my partner, kids and dog – usually in the woods or by the sea (surfboard optional!). I love sneaking in workouts and sharing healthy, delicious food ideas too. I can’t wait to welcome you to Bodyworks Studio and help you become the healthiest, happiest version of yourself.

• Level 3 Personal Trainer qualified
• Experienced in strength training (minimum 2 years)
• Friendly, approachable and passionate about coaching
• Excited to be part of a supportive team and community

Ready to find your routine again after summer? (I know I am 🙋‍♀️)

Our next four-week trial starts the week of 17 August—just in time for the little darlings heading back to school. Yay 🥳

It’s for complete beginners, people getting back into training after a break, people who already train, and anyone who’s curious about what we do.

Basically, if you want to train in a fun, friendly gym, learn how to lift weights properly and get stronger and fitter for everyday life, you’ll fit right in.

Over the four weeks, you’ll get:

* Eight personal coaching sessions
* A full induction
* Access to over 40 sessions across the week
* Fully planned and guided workouts
* Proper progressive training—no random workouts
* Unlimited coaching, support and accountability

You don’t need to plan anything or wonder what you should be doing. We take care of all that. You just need to turn up and train.

One whole year. ❤️

A year ago, walking through our doors felt scary.

Fast forward 12 months… just look at her! She looks absolutely incredible and is glowing. ✨

As amazing as the physical transformation is, what has been even more special is watching her confidence grow. Week after week, we’ve seen her become physically and mentally stronger, believe in herself more and achieve things she never thought she could.

Her message says it all…

“A whole year 😍 Can’t believe I was so nervous walking through them gym doors. Can’t thank you all enough for your support and giving me the confidence to carry on.”

This is exactly why we do what we do.

At Bodyworks, it has never been about being the fittest person in the room. It’s about helping people become stronger, healthier and happier, while giving them the confidence to live their fullest lives.

We want our members to feel stronger, move better and have more energy in their 40s, 50s, 60s and 70s than they did in their 20s and 30s. To keep up with their children and grandchildren, travel, enjoy their hobbies and do the things they love without feeling held back.

If you’re reading this thinking, “I could never walk through those doors,” we promise you’re not alone. So many of our members felt exactly the same on day one.

The hardest part is taking that first step, and we’ll be right there with you every step of the way.

Yasmin’s story ❤️

This one’s a special one.

I’ve actually known Yasmin for years through massage, and I’d often (not very subtly 😂) tell her I thought she’d love strength training.

So when she messaged over a year ago to join our trial, I was so excited.

Watching Yasmin grow has been about so much more than getting stronger. It’s been seeing her confidence flourish, watching her tackle bigger bike rides, complete her first cycling event, hike mountains with her dog and realise just how capable she really is.

In Yasmin’s words…

“I always wanted to feel athletic. I tried Pilates, yoga, Body Pump, swimming, SUP, running… I even bought gym equipment for home. Nothing stuck.

Then I gave small group PT a go. I’ve now been cycling for two years and training twice a week for over a year. This community of supportive, genuine friends and coaches is the reason I’ve stayed consistent.

I feel less achey, my posture is better, I’m stronger in everyday life… and I really feel like, at 30, Iv found myself in this gym.” ❤️

Honestly, that’s why we do what we do.

Wow… how are we already halfway through 2026 🤯

The first 6 months of the year have absolutely flown by down at Bodyworks Studio and honestly what an incredible start to the year it’s been.

Looking back through these photos is such a lovely reminder of everything that’s happened in such a short amount of time.

Over 1,000 coached sessions.
Almost 200 people through our doors.
So many goals achieved, weights lifted and people doing things they never thought they could.

Which is actually crazy to think about!

Over the last 6 months we’ve had nutrition talks, workshops, community workouts, coffee & cake, family walks, our first mobility session and a lot of laughs along the way.

But honestly the best part has been watching the friendships, confidence and connections being made both inside and outside the gym.

Because this is exactly what we always wanted Bodyworks to be! Not just a gym you come in, train and leave.

A community. A place where people feel supported, encouraged and actually excited to look after their health.

A massive thank you to every single person who has been part of the journey so far — whether you’ve been with us from the start, joined us recently, came along for a trial or just popped in for a session.

You’ve all played a part in making Bodyworks what it is.

We’re closing the doors on the 6th of July for a week of some very much needed R&R ☀️

We can’t wait to come back refreshed and welcome everyone into their summer workouts. Have the best summer everyone.

She may be only a year away from a very significant birthday, but there’s no stopping my mum 💪

At 69 years old, with arthritis in both knees and scoliosis in her spine, mum has just deadlifted 60kg for 3 reps – more than her own body weight.

The best part isn’t the weight on the bar. It’s what 10 years of consistent strength training can do.

She’s trained with me for the last decade, gradually building strength, confidence and resilience along the way.

Getting older doesn’t automatically make us weak. Mum is living proof of that.
