Already there is a tinge of freshness in the air! Bookings are open 🧡🧡🧡

I love offering these sessions! This year I have been unable to offer as many I would like and I’ve missed it, so it’s lovely to be able to mark near the close of 2026 with a forest bathing session.

As ever, expect new and favourite optional invitations; solo time; sharing time with likeminded others; tea and a little homemade treat, and perhaps a little creative twist…

‘Forest bathing’ is still gaining popularity as another branch of nature connection, and self-care, or natural mindfulness; or in my take, as some focused time to explore our being part of nature.

Previous participants have enjoyed slowing down and have found that this has changed their experience of future walks:

“I experienced connection with nature on a much deeper level, especially your guidance for slowing down. For me that’s the crucial thing to be able to absorb all the goodness from nature. My nervous system reset”.

(May participant).

I have one space opening up which is pay by donation. This is for short or longer term support.

The session will be online, there will be a few different set slots to choose from.

These are an opportunity for me to pay forward the many instances of kindness and generosity I’ve been gifted on my own journey. No agenda, no hidden costs.

A free 20 minute intro chat will be had before being granted sessions to check you are eligible, to explain how it works, and to check I am the right person to support you.

Please drop me a line if interested or share with someone you think might benefit.

The tallest Hawthorn tree I’ve ever seen!

What other wonders have you noticed lately?

‘Noticing’ is actually a skill, a ‘muscle’, part of our consciousness, that we can grow and develop.

Therapy and mindfulness in nature practices can help us develop this ‘muscle’, so that we can be more present and notice more. Noticing more of our outer world but also the inner.

‘Noticing’ is a bit like a doorway to our own growth and expansion.

How then do we choose to respond to what we’ve noticed?

And so we grow, noticing and changing, growing hopefully to our full height like this lovely Hawthorn tree.

I’m pleased to be able to open up more outdoor counselling sessions (a.k.a ‘walk and talk’, but please be aware that all bodies are welcome and I will do my best to accommodate you) from this Summer onwards.

Interested? You can check out my website for more information, or book a free 20 minute intro chat to see how I can support you.

Having a counselling session outside is subject to the same ethical boundaries as an indoors or online session - no difference! But there is one difference, that for no added cost you get the many benefits of connecting with the outdoors.

I also offer indoors and online sessions, so you can mix and match depending on your needs.

Wishing you a nourishing summer 🌿

‘Therapy’ can absolutely work quickly and it can work slowly and surely.

Research seems to suggest that this depends on first a) the client’s motivations, needs and existing connection to themselves b) the relationship with the therapist.

In today’s world of expected quick fixes, and ‘fast therapy’ (in 6 sessions you’re cured!) relational integrative talk therapy holds its own as a modality where connection and thoroughness is highly valued.

Having sessions outside has the added benefit of fresh air and the wider connection with the natural world.

*Two indoor slots available *

*Flexible outdoors and online slots available*

Feel free to book a free intro slot if you’d like to learn more about how I work, or to ask any questions about what counselling/therapy can offer.

Was a lovely opportunity to spend time with such a lovely group, and support and be supported by the wonderful Moray Walking and Outdoor Festival.

We had an explore of the Hinterland woodland, and regenerated pines near Findhorn beach, so lovely to see the dune grasses abundant in this area too.

My thanks to the attendees, Moray Walking and Outdoor Festival, Findhorn Hinterland Trust and Findhorn Dunes Trust.

Until next year! 🌿💚🌊

Some tickets freed up because of a cancellation, still time to book on if you’re up for a very relaxing morning, exploring nature in different ways…💚🌿🌊🐚

A relaxing sensory walk, that incorporates simple mindful invitations to help us relax and restore in the gorgeous area of the Findhorn Hinterland woodland and the surrounding dunes.

The link between nature connection and creativity has long been explored and prized as one of the greatest inspirations to art, literature and science.

But how can it help us?

Ideas come more quickly, my thoughts roam freely and I’m reminded I am not the main form of life on the planet

It really is the simple things. A lovely article about how a lady improved her health and connection to the wider world of nature 😊

After a period of burnout, I realised that nature knows what you need, and is always ready to offer it – you just have to be quiet enough to receive it

A lovely article by the wonderful
Forest Healing (thank you Hugh 💚) that encapsulates so much about why I do the work I do and what it means. ‘Attention restoration’ theory is helpful as well as being an accurate term!

We restore the ability to pay attention when we slow down, and the natural world helps us to do that wonderfully, as we are part of it, our brains are a perfect fit.

My next group session is on Saturday 13th June as part of the Moray Walking & Outdoor Festival. I also offer bespoke 1:1 sessions to explore more deeply.

See you in the woods?

In a noisy, hurried world, it can be surprisingly hard to rest in the present moment. Our attention is tugged in several directions at once: screens, deadlines, messages, noise, and the quiet pressure to keep up. Nature mindfulness offers a gentler way back. At its heart, it is the practice of payin
