🌴☀️ A Tropical Summer Celebration at Rowden House! 🌺🎶

Last Thursday, we welcomed Field House - Somerset Care to our annual Garden Summer Party and this year, we brought a taste of the tropics to the garden! 🍍🌴

Everyone had a fantastic time enjoying live accordion music, tropical-themed games and lots of laughter. 🎶😊

🏆 Congratulations to the Field Flyers, who won our tropical animal and fruit matching game, with the Rowden Gentlemen’s Club taking second place! 👏🎉

There was plenty more fun with our coconut-throwing game, featuring palm trees designed with the help of our residents, as well as playing castanets along to the tropical music. 🥥🌴💃

To cool off, everyone enjoyed ice cream, ice lollies and refreshing drinks while soaking up the sunshine. 🍦☀️

A wonderful afternoon filled with music, fun, friendship and fantastic memories. Thank you to everyone who helped make it so special! ❤️

During last week's heatwave, our residents and activities staff found some fun ways to beat the heat! 🌞🍦 We savored refreshing ice lollies and cool drinks, both inside and outside, keeping ourselves cool and hydrated during this extreme weather. This week, we’re saying a heartfelt thank you to all unpaid carers - family members, friends, and loved ones - who give their time, compassion and support every single day.

☀️ Summer has well and truly arrived at Rowden House! 🌻 (Although the weather may have other ideas this week!)

Our residents have been making the most of the beautiful weather, spending time in the garden, watering plants, and enjoying watching everything bloom and grow. It's been a wonderful way to soak up the sunshine, enjoy the fresh air, and appreciate the simple pleasures of the season.

We've also been getting creative indoors with a variety of summertime crafts, adding plenty of colour, creativity, and seasonal cheer around the home. 🎨🌼

One of the highlights of recent weeks has been a visit from Dogs for Health, including the adorable Nelly the sausage dog. 🐾 Her visit brought lots of smiles, cuddles, laughter, and calm moments, reminding us all of the special joy that animals can bring.

It's been a lovely few weeks and a great reminder that some of life's most meaningful moments come from the simplest activities and shared experiences. 💚
