The Howson Hikers 🥾🥾 are taking on the mammoth challenge of walking/rolling 100 miles throughout September.

The residents wanted to raise money for a local charity, so a vote was taken and Wildline Wildlife Sanctuary won.
The residents would also like to raise money for their comfort fund so they can continue to enjoy great activities and entertainment throughout the year.

If you would like to sponsor us you can donate directly to the home account or we can accept cash at the office.

A Farewell to Our Wonderful Laundry Lady

For years you’ve washed and folded,
With a smile upon your face,
You kept the laundry running smoothly,
And kept everything in place!

You tackled every towel and sheet,
Every uniform and gown,
And somehow when the piles got high,
You never let us down!

You knew each stain and every sock,
And probably where the missing ones went,
While we were busy making laundry,
You were busy paying the rent! 😄

Now retirement has arrived at last,
No more washing, folding, or steam,
No more mountains of laundry—
Just time to live your dream!

We’ll miss your smile, your helping hands,
Your kindness every day,
You’ve been a very special part
Of our team in every way.

So put your feet up, take a rest,
And leave those clothes behind.
Enjoy your well-earned retirement—
You’ve certainly earned the time!

A day trip all the way up to Malton to visit Eden Camp Museum. Great memories for some of our veterans. We were lucky enough to get to hold some of the rifles and also have a semi guided tour with lots of stories and information.

We're incredibly proud to announce that after 7 years without an inspection, Howson Care Centre has officially been rated GOOD! 💙🎉

This is a fantastic achievement and a true reflection of the hard work, dedication, and compassion shown by every member of our team each and every day.

A huge thank you to our amazing staff for their commitment, our wonderful residents for making Howson Care Centre such a special place, and to our families for their continued trust and support.
