When you’ve not felt like you for a while, asking for help can be the hardest part.

We want to make it easier for you.

Our HAY chat is a free, no obligation 20 minute phone call. We’ll ask a little about what’s brought you in touch, answer any questions you have, and help you work out what feels like the right next step.

Sometimes that’s booking an initial consultation. Sometimes it’s not, either is fine.

Book your HAY chat via the link in our bio, or send us a message if that feels easier.

You check your phone the minute you wake up.
You look to to see if you any messages.
You scroll through your notifications.

But when was the last time you checked in with yourself?

Not the automatic, “I’m fine.”

The honest answer.
How am I? Really.

At HAY, our name comes from that simple question: How Are You?

Sometimes, taking a moment to ask yourself how you’re really feeling is where change can begin.

If you’d like a space to talk things through, start with a free 20 minute conversation.

Together, we can explore what support might look like for you.

Some days you just want to scream in the car.
We know that feeling all too well.

Here’s a few things we do when things get a bit much:

“Loud music in the car. Sometimes an angry sing, sometimes a snotty ugly cry. Mostly though, I write a list 😅” - Gillian

“I write things down. Read. Talk with a friend. Though I’ll admit sometimes I just keep going instead.” - Caroline

And sometimes, the things that help us through are simple. A good cry. A chat with a friend. Writing it all down. Or, occasionally, admitting that we’re just carrying on when we probably need to stop.

Yes, we have hard days too.

But if your hard days are becoming harder to manage alone, support is available.

Tell us in the comments 👇🏻 What do you do when you’re feeling overwhelmed or stressed?

💬 “I’m fine”… but are you really?

Sometimes you’re coping — but exhausted.
Holding it together — but quietly struggling.
Smiling on the outside — while feeling overwhelmed underneath.

You’re not alone in feeling that way. And you don’t have to keep pushing through it on your own. 🤍

HAY Wellbeing offers a calm, confidential space for adults, teens and children — whether you’re dealing with anxiety, burnout, phobias, or just feeling a bit lost.

A space to talk. To breathe. To feel more like yourself again. ✨

Because you deserve support too.

You keep playing the conversation over and over.

Each time imagining a different ending.
Each time wishing you’d said something different.
Each new thought keeping you more awake than the last.

By the time you get to bed, you’ve had the conversation more times than it actually happened.

Your looping thoughts need an interruption 👇🏻

• Write the thought down - externalise it so it stops circling.
• Stop trying to fall asleep - read for ten minutes instead
• Splash your face with cold water - yes, even if it’s midnight

That interruption or pause is what helps those small changes stick.

Learning how to interrupt those thoughts is some of what we work on at HAY.

It’s the evening, and you’ve been on the go all day. Again.

You’ve not had a minute.
Working from home can be tricky, that constant feeling of “I should be doing house things, I’m at home” and you end up squeezing too much into your day and never quite stopping.

Go easy on yourself.

Try one of these. Nothing dramatic, we promise.

• Stretch your arms above your head in between meetings.
• Give yourself permission to sit down for lunch, away from your ‘desk’.
• Water the plants for two minutes, take your eyes away from the screen.

You see, small things, done regularly become the norm. The brain thrives on repetition, and that’s the work we do at HAY too.

If you’d like support putting small changes into practice, our diary is open. Get in touch 👇🏻
