New Funding. New Opportunity for a local person.
Support & Education Officer. at £16.00 per hour 15 hours a week self-employed for this 10 month year. May 2026 to March 31th 2027. The role is Secretary work 2 days a week based in Tebay, Cumbria.
This role is helping with Fell Pony Herds and Hill Breeders gathering knowledge to help with talks to interested groups and educational sessions in schools, also helping with ongoing funding applications. The taking of the minutes at FPHT meetings, helping with a publication of an educational book on Hill Bred Fell Ponies which will enhance and maintain the Fell Pony traditions in Lake District farming systems and the resilience of nature friendly farming in this important World Heritage site.

We are running a Dementia Family Dog Workshop for people who have, or are thinking about bringing a canine companion into their lives. The session is online and offers advice on what a dog can bring to your life and how to build a strong bond.
