☀️🌡️ Keeping your baby cool in warm weather is so important for their comfort and safety. Babies can overheat quickly, so it’s important to check them regularly and keep their environment cool and comfortable.

👶 Our top tips:
• Dress baby in light, loose-fitting clothing
• Keep them out of direct sunlight
• Use a fan or cool room (not cold air directly on baby)
• Offer regular feeds to keep them hydrated
• Never leave a baby in a hot room or car

💙 A room temperature of around 16–20°C is usually the most comfortable for babies. Check your little one’s chest or the back of their neck, if they feel hot or sweaty, remove a layer of clothing or bedding.

Did you know we have a webpage dedicated to informing brands and the media of image guidelines for safer sleep?

Every time and everywhere we show images of babies, we have an opportunity to educate families on safer sleep practices.

That’s why we’re here to support brands and the media on how to select images that encourage safer sleep, and ultimately save babies’ lives.

We see for ourselves, and are notified often, of hundreds of images of babies that don’t portray safer sleep practices. Previous research conducted by The Lullaby Trust found that a third of media images of babies used in consumer magazines and online, didn’t follow safer sleep advice.

With your support, we can tip the balance towards safer baby imagery. Our image guidelines 🔗 https://bit.ly/4cAqofk
