It was a pleasure joining Mott MacDonald's Sports Day Event earlier in August on behalf of MIND and celebrate their Charity of the Year Partnership.🦆☀️💙

Together, with the Mott MacDonald team, we raised mental health awareness with some fun wellbeing-based activities and had a front row seat to watch their old style sports day activities, featuring events like sac race and welly wanging!🏁🏆

It was fantastic to be part of an event celebrating sportsmanship and wellbeing by one of the leading organisations on Global Engineering, bringing teams together from around the country.👏

Thank you Mott MacDonald for choosing to support the MIND charity and for raising national awareness of mental health and local support provisions.💙😊

Congratulations to James turner, Josh Williams, Richie Armstrong who completed the Three Peaks Challenge in memory of beloved family member and friend Grace Nevens, while raising over £1,200 for Tyneside and Northumberland Mind.💙👏

They completed Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon in under 24 hours - an outstanding achievement - and witnessed a stunning sunrise on Snowdon too!🌄

In recent years, Grace Nevens’ family and friends have taken on a range of challenges in her memory, from epic walks, marathons and relays as well as the upcoming Great North Run - and we will keep cheering them on all the way! 📣

Grace left an incredible mark on her community, who have come together in a beautiful way since her passing. Many have been inspired by her time volunteering for Mind and continue to honour her through fundraising, donations and support for Tyneside and Northumberland Mind.

We are honoured to be part of Grace’s legacy and to witness the love shown for Grace and the Nevens family. Thank you to everyone who has been inspired by Grace to raise mental health awareness, fundraise, donate and support local mental health services.💙

In July, we joined forces for the first QTS Better Together Cup and Football, Communities, Wellbeing Networking Event and Mind campaign. It was a day of inspirational speeches, good practise sharing and community networking - and the start of what we anticipate will be an impactful commitment to better local wellbeing and mental health within the grassroots football community in our region.💪⚽

The event was organised by partners Blyth Spartans AFC, Spartans in the Community, QTS, Tyneside and Northumberland Mind and the Football Supporters' Association. We heard inspiring speeches and learned about great wellbeing practise and initiatives from Kevin Miles, Chair of Blyth Spartans FA and Spartans in the Community, the FSA, Dunstable FC , QTS and the Chair Elect of MIND, Clarke Carlisle, a former professional footballer and prominent mental health campaigner who gave a powerful speech. Alex Wilson, CEO of Tyneside and Northumberland Mind spoke about our mental health work and how we can all work together to provide more local support.

Inspired by MIND's campaign and the great work being done by the campaign’s founders, Dunstable Football Club. The event was an opportunity to bring together existing partnerships and forge new ones. As football clubs, supporters’ organisations, mental health service providers and community groups came together for a day of looking at how existing activities and new initiatives can strengthen the support we provide for the mental health of local people.💪

We learned the campaign pairs up local Mind's with grassroots football clubs in their region to receive wellbeing resources, access to services, raise mental health awareness, gain mental health training for staff and volunteers, promote mental health campaigns on the club’s socials, organise fundraising activities and work together on wellbeing initiatives within the local community. We announced funding from QTS will fund Mental Health First Aid courses for Staff and Volunteers from local Football Clubs, who sign up to the campaign this summer to kickstart the campaign in our area.⚽👏💙

Thank you to Blyth Spartans for hosting and QTS Data Centers for funding the event and the pre-season 5-team “Better Together Cup” tournament. Huge Congrats to Dunstable FC who won the inaugural trophy too.🏆

A special thank you to the incredibly generous QTS Data Centers, who donated an amazing £20,000 to Tyneside and Northumberland Mind which will be used to continue our mission of providing life-changing mental health support in the local area as well as supporting the campaign in our region.💙✨

Thank you to all those that joined us. We are hopeful this is the start of an exciting chapter that will strengthen local support for football clubs and provide great wellbeing in our communities, ensuring every local person has access to the health support they need and deserve. 🤝

We're part of North Tyne & Westholme FC next season and will be represented by Connor Fantozzi and Ryan Watson.👏🤩

Thank you North Tyne & Westholme FC for raising awareness and fighting stigma surrounding mental health. It means so much to have your support of our local mental health charity.

We're wishing Connor and Ryan a fantastic season!💜⚽

💜 DOUBLE PLAYER SPONSORSHIP 💜

We’re incredibly proud to announce that Connor Fantozzi and Ryan Watson have both been sponsored this season by Tyneside and Northumberland Mind💜⚽

This is a sponsorship that means a lot to us as a club, because it’s about much more than football.

Tyneside and Northumberland Mind are a local mental health charity dedicated to supporting people across our community. They provide a range of services including counselling, wellbeing support, peer support, family support, safe spaces, training and a dedicated Support Line — helping people who may be struggling with their mental health to know that they don’t have to face it alone.

They work across Tyneside and Northumberland, promoting positive mental health, reducing stigma and helping local people build resilience and improve their wellbeing. Importantly, they are a locally governed charity, with funds raised supporting mental health services in our own region.

As a football club, we know how important community, connection and looking out for one another can be — so we’re incredibly proud to have Tyneside and Northumberland Mind supporting two of our players this season.

A massive THANK YOU to everyone at Mind for supporting Connor, Ryan and North Tyne Westholme FC. 💜

Football is more than 90 minutes.
Mental health is something we all need to talk about.
And nobody should have to face it alone.
🧠💜
