🗞️ ICYMI: A 75-year-old man from Greenock says he feels decades younger after a dramatic health transformation.

John Morton credits his renewed energy and wellbeing to losing more than seven stone in just one year, following a referral to the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) Weight Management Service and Slimming World.

The retired businessman had been living with type 2 diabetes and other long-term health issues before beginning the programme in May 2025.

John said: "I’m 75 but I feel 20 years younger thanks to my weight loss. Every part of my life has improved since losing weight and I never would have been able to do it if the nurse at Greenock Health Centre didn’t refer me."

Parkrun Tourist today 😆 Really enjoyed my parkrun 🏃‍♀️today with my girl 💖 at Lews Castle 🏰 . Beautiful scenery 👌 and pleased with my time ⏲️ as there were hilly sections, but Iona encouraged me along the way 👍
