Before you close the curtains tonight, take a moment to look up.
June’s Strawberry Moon takes its name from the season when wild strawberries begin to ripen. It’s also been known as the honey and mead moon! All a symbol of abundance, growth, and the gathering of the first harvest.
It’s a gentle reminder that everything has its own season. Nature never rushes, yet everything arrives when the time is right. We have much to learn from nature, including perhaps trusting our own perfect timing and being more patient with ourselves.
If you’d like to try this simple practice:
1.
Stand or sit where you can see the moon (inside or outside).
2.
Pause for a moment, breathing gently through your mouth. Allow the peace to settle.
3.
Look at the moon (or if it’s cloudy imagine you can see it in your mind’s eye).
4.
Imagine, feel or sense a connection between you and the moon flowing.
5.
Set an intention for what you’d like to grow, and trust that, like nature, it will unfold in its own time.
6.
Allow the magic of the moon to flow and be open to the possibility of feeling this.
Stay as long as it feels right for you.
Wishing you a peaceful Strawberry Moon and a heart full of gentle blessings.
With love,
Fiona
