Yes, we tend to lose muscle as we get older.
No, that doesn’t mean we have to sit back and watch it happen.

And protecting muscle doesn’t necessarily mean finding more time to exercise.

As Eve nutritionist Claire Thomas explains:

"It’s often less about doing more, and more about using your muscles regularly.”

Muscle isn't only important for strength. It also plays a major role in how your body handles blood sugar. When muscles contract, they take up glucose from the bloodstream and use it for energy.

And using your muscles more can be surprisingly ordinary:

→ Stand up regularly rather than sitting for long periods
→ Take short movement breaks during the day
→ Carry the shopping rather than always using a trolley
→ Take the stairs when you can
→ Stand while you're on the phone
→ Get up from a chair without using your hands

Then add some resistance where you can. Squats, calf raises, wall press-ups, weights or resistance bands all give muscle a reason to work harder.

None of these things looks particularly revolutionary.

That's rather the point.

Small opportunities to use your muscles, repeated consistently, add up — helping to protect strength, support metabolic health and preserve the physical capacity you'll want later.

You don't need to train like an athlete.

You do need to give your muscles a reason to stay.

Breakfast. Sorted.
A good breakfast doesn't need to be complicated. It needs to give your body something useful to work with.
Eve gives you 25g+ protein, fibre and the vitamins and minerals women need more of as we get older — in a breakfast you can make in 60 seconds.
Mornings are busy enough without turning breakfast into a project.
Shake. Drink. Get on with your day.

Knowing your baseline gives you something useful: perspective.
-How are you sleeping?
- How often are you moving?
- How is your digestion?
- Your energy?
- Your strength?
- Your weight or waist measurement, if those matter to you?

You don't need to be using Eve. You don't even need to be trying to change anything yet.
A baseline simply gives you a starting point.
Because when you make changes — to your food, movement, sleep or daily habits — you can see whether they're actually making a difference.
Progress isn't always dramatic. Sometimes it's sleeping better. Feeling stronger. Having more energy at 4pm. Being more regular. Or noticing that something which used to bother you… doesn't quite as much.
Know where you are now. Then you can see what works for you.
That's useful information — whoever's shake is in your cupboard.

We invest in plenty of things that make life work better.
But one of the most valuable assets you have doesn't cost anything.

💤Sleep.

Good quality sleep supports your brain, mood and cardiovascular health. During menopause, poor sleep is also associated with more severe symptoms and reduced quality of life.
And yes, a shift in your hormonal status can make sleep more difficult. Night sweats and a mind that has started overthinking things way too much are real.
But sleep isn't entirely out of your hands.
How you eat, when you move, caffeine, alcohol, evening light and your daily routine can all influence the quality of sleep you get.
Think of sleep as an asset worth protecting.
Because when it works better, quite a lot of everything else can work better too.

Or even simpler.
Women over 40 have a habit of refusing to fit neatly into boxes.
Business owner.
Mother.
Runner.
Carer.
Traveller.
Volunteer.
Cyclist.
Friend.
Most women are several of those things before lunchtime.
The years ahead will look different for every one of us.
Our health has the same job regardless.

Four weeks isn't a long time.

But it's long enough to discover what happens when you give your body the nutrition it's been asking for.

Our 4-Week Plan is about creating a routine that's realistic enough to fit around real life.
Over four weeks you'll:

✓ Nourish your body with high-protein, nutrient-rich meals.
✓ Increase your fibre intake
✓ Benefit from a pretty potent vitamin and mineral infusion
✓ Build simple habits you can actually stick to.

Many women also lose weight.

But the first changes they notice are often something else.

More energy.
Fewer cravings.
Less bloating ( more regularity!)
More clarity

The next four weeks will pass whether you start or not.

Where would you like to be when they do?
