โœจ Day 1 of our Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) & Wood Therapy Course โœจ

Today the group focused on the foundations of Manual Lymphatic Drainage, covering the anatomy and physiology of the lymphatic system, treatment application and clinical reasoning.

As part of the Sports Therapy Scotland approach, we also explored the current evidence surrounding MLD, helping practitioners understand where it may be beneficial, where claims can become exaggerated, and how to communicate treatment outcomes accurately and ethically within clinical practice.

The afternoon was dedicated to practical application, with three model clients giving the group the opportunity to develop their hands-on skills, assessment techniques and patient communication.

The girls were absolutely unreal throughout the day ๐Ÿ‘ The standard of treatment, professionalism and willingness to learn was fantastic to see.

A huge thank you to our model clients for helping make the practical sessions such a success.

Looking forward to Day 2 and introducing the Wood Therapy component of the course ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Hamstring strains are one of the most common injuries we see in clinic, especially in running, football, gym training and court sports.

Cupping therapy can be a useful tool alongside rehab to help reduce perceived tightness, improve movement comfort and assist soft tissue work around the injured area when clinically appropriate ๐Ÿ’ช

At Sports Therapy Scotland๏ฟผ we combine hands-on treatment with progressive rehab and loading strategies to help guide clients back towards performance.

Want to learn how we integrate cupping into treatment sessions? ๐Ÿ‘€

Weโ€™ve been using the MyoNest VibX Pro with a mix of clients lately, from everyday desk workers to performers on tour, and the feedback has honestly been unreal ๐Ÿ™Œ

One of the biggest things people notice straight away is how quickly it helps them feel looser and more relaxed before or after sessions.

Some of the things weโ€™ve personally liked using it for at Sports Therapy Scotland๏ฟผ ๐Ÿ‘‡

โœ… Helping reduce the feeling of muscle tightness and stiffness
โœ… Great addition alongside recovery work after training
โœ… Can help people feel more mobile before movement or performance
โœ… Great for pre-event warm ups when you want stimulation without constantly relying on manual tapotement
โœ… Easy way to add vibration work into sore or overworked areas without being overly aggressive
โœ… Clients genuinely enjoy the feeling and often ask where to get one afterwards ๐Ÿ˜…

Weโ€™ve used it with gym goers, athletes, performers and people just carrying tension from day-to-day life, and itโ€™s been a really nice tool to add into sessions ๐Ÿ‘

Not a magic fix on its own, but as part of a bigger recovery and rehab approach, weโ€™ve been really impressed so far ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Thank you to for sending it over for testing!

๐Ÿ“ฒ DM us if youโ€™ve got questions about how weโ€™re using it in clinic

Thinking about joining our Level 3 Sports Massage Course but feeling nervous? ๐Ÿ‘€

Thatโ€™s completely normal.

A lot of our students start with worries like:
โ€ข โ€œWhat if Iโ€™m not experienced enough?โ€
โ€ข โ€œWhat if I struggle with anatomy?โ€
โ€ข โ€œWhat if everyone else knows more than me?โ€
โ€ข โ€œCan I actually make this into a career?โ€

The truth is, everyone starts somewhere ๐Ÿค

Our job is to guide you through the process step-by-step in a supportive environment where you can learn properly, ask questions, make mistakes, and build confidence.

You do NOT need to know everything before starting.
You just need an interest in helping people and a willingness to learn ๐Ÿ“š

Over the course, youโ€™ll develop:
โœ… Hands-on massage skills
โœ… Injury understanding
โœ… Assessment knowledge
โœ… Confidence working with real clients
โœ… Industry-ready practical experience

Many of our students have gone on to:
โ€ข Start their own businesses
โ€ข Work in gyms and clinics
โ€ข Progress into Sports Therapy & Rehabilitation
โ€ข Add another income stream alongside their current career

The biggest thing that holds most people back is usually self-doubt, not ability.

If youโ€™ve been thinking about it for a whileโ€ฆ this might be your sign to finally start ๐Ÿ’™

๐Ÿ‘‰Wanting to come on board but finances are tight?

Career changes can feel scary enough already ๐Ÿ˜…
