CARERS WEEK- Building Carer Friendly Communities 🩵
As part of Carers Week, Forensic Services are hosting a number of activities that demonstrate our ongoing commitment to supporting carers.

To support this week, display boards have been set up with information about:
🔸️The Forensic Carers Group, outlining the support available to carers and families.
🔸️Behavioural Family Therapy, highlighting how this intervention supports carers and strengthens family relationships.
🔸️In addition, during Carers Week, Forensic Carer Awareness Sessions have been offered to staff. These sessions were delivered by the Lead Carer and focused on raising awareness of the vital role carers play and the important work this service provides in supporting them.

The Scottish National Burn Centre at Glasgow Royal Infirmary was established barely five years ago - but recent announcements have cemented its global reputation as a centre of excellence.

The centre is set to host a major international conference this autumn, its Clinical Lead is about to take on a significant UK-wide role, and the main event in the UK burns calendar has been scheduled to return to Glasgow for the first time in 50 years.

Many congratulations to everyone involved in this service, providing life-saving care to hundreds of patients from across Scotland every year.

The team from Burns & Plastic Surgery Celebrated What Maters To Me Day ✨️🎉
🔹️There were stations where staff could say what matters to them, learn about Adult Support and Protection + Child Protection.
🔹️Information on Learning Disabilities and how to make the wards more welcoming for patients with LD.
🔹️There were also some treats for staff to enjoy✨️

The 4C Haemato-Oncology with the QEUH, made a patients wish come true this week by rallying together to arrange a wedding for her and her husband to be.
With 48 hours notice, a private room was transformed into a beautiful wedding venue where vows could be exchanged in a relaxed setting. From chair covers to music, buffet, fizz as well as a wedding cake gifted by the team. The couple had a wonderful day shared with their family and friends.
Well done Team Haem Ward 4C and huge congratulations to the newly married couple.
