For Vinny, that recommendation came from fellow hockey player Fraser. For years Tony Daley lived with severe hip arthritis that turned everyday life into a constant struggle. The 61 year old plumber from East Kilbride described the pain as unbearable with every step feeling like a stabbing sensation and every day like living with constant toothache. Sleep became difficult and painkillers were the only way he could keep working.

After waiting 55 weeks just to see a consultant through the NHS Tony was told he could still face another two to three years before receiving the hip replacement surgery he desperately needed.
