🌟 Celebrating an Incredible 55 Years of Service! 🌟

Today, we’re incredibly proud to celebrate two very special members of our team — Linda McGreskin and Alan Mathie — and a remarkable combined 55 years of dedicated service. ❤️

👏 Linda McGreskin – 20 Years of Service

Twenty years is an incredible milestone, and Linda’s contribution over those two decades has been truly invaluable.

Throughout her 20 years, Linda has brought professionalism, compassion and dedication to everything she does. In funeral service, it’s the people who make the biggest difference — and Linda has consistently been someone our families, colleagues and communities can rely upon.

20 years of commitment, care and making a difference. We are incredibly grateful for everything Linda has given to the business and the families we serve. 💐

👏 Alan Mathie – 35 Years of Service

And what an achievement — 35 years!

Alan’s career represents more than three decades of experience, dedication and commitment to funeral service. Over those 35 years, he has been part of countless families’ journeys, providing the professionalism, reassurance and compassion that are at the heart of what we do.

A career spanning 35 years is something truly special. Alan’s knowledge, experience and contribution have helped shape not only the service we provide, but also the colleagues and teams he has worked alongside over the years.

35 years of service, countless families supported and an enormous contribution to the profession. 👏

❤️ Two remarkable milestones. One incredible contribution.

Between them, Linda and Alan have given 55 years of service — 55 years of experience, commitment, compassion and dedication to the families and communities we have the privilege of serving.

Long service isn’t simply about the number of years on a certificate. It’s about the people you’ve helped, the families you’ve supported, the colleagues you’ve encouraged and the difference you’ve made along the way.

Linda and Alan, thank you. Thank you for your loyalty, your professionalism, your care and everything you continue to bring to the team.

From everyone across the business, congratulations on these truly outstanding milestones. 🥂👏

20 years, Linda.
35 years, Alan.
55 years of making a difference. ❤️

What does a good death look like?

There's no one-size-fits-all answer. Everyone's wishes, values and priorities are different.

But for many people, a good death means having choice and dignity, feeling comfortable, being cared for in the right place, and knowing the people around them understand what's important.

It also means making plans where possible: having conversations, sharing your wishes and helping loved ones feel more prepared for the future.

✨ A Very Special Honour ✨

Everyone at T&R O’Brien Funeral Directors is incredibly proud to congratulate our colleague, John Boyle, on receiving the Cross of Merit with Silver Star of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem.

John received this prestigious honour during a special Mass at Falkland Palace, where he was joined by Valerie, who was also presented with the same award in recognition of her service.

This beautiful decoration, crafted by Guccione of Rome, is a meaningful recognition of the dedication, faith and commitment that both John and Valerie have shown through their involvement with the Order. It reflects the kindness, compassion and sense of service that so many people know John for, both within our team and throughout the community.

We are honoured to celebrate this special occasion with John and Valerie and offer them our heartfelt congratulations on this well-deserved recognition.

❤️ Congratulations to you both on such a memorable and meaningful achievement.
