Children who grow up in a loving, encouraging, emotionally open environment usually have a more positive sense of themselves and their capabilities. Parents do the best job they know how - but if they don't know how to manage their own emotions, it's difficult to help children manage theirs. This can lead to children suppressing emotions and becoming disconnected from how they really feel. This can have a big impact in adult relationships. Talking therapy can help with exploring and restoring the connection.

Social media has many benefits including allowing us to keep in touch with family and friends that we wouldn't otherwise be able to see. However, as everyone knows it also has a negative side.
