Nurse Anna has been part of the FTT family for years.

She came to us as an aesthetician. Today she is a medical aesthetic nurse with exceptional skills — completing her Level 7 in Medical Aesthetics and this weekend, a cadaveric dissection and facial anatomy masterclass at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

I have mentored Anna throughout that journey. Watching her grow has been one of the privileges of leading this team.

I watched Kylie's superb documentary on today and was completely thrown backwards in time.
I could actually smell backstage in the late 80s—that unmistakable, electric mix of Elnett hairspray, stale ci******es, sweat, and pure adrenaline.

We were running around the Australian music scene, entirely untethered, living a life that felt completely endless.
To us, it wasn’t history. It was just Tuesday night.
Funny how you only realize decades later that you were standing right in the middle of an era people would one day call iconic.
We met people who became legends. And others who burned incredibly bright for a single summer before vanishing back into normal life.
There were no curated grids, no smartphones to hide behind. Just raw music, absolute freedom, and moments that only existed for the people who were there.

Looking at these few, grainy, imperfect snapshots from a lifetime ago, I’m struck by the contrast of then and now. The wild, analogue youth versus the perspective and responsibility of today.
But that boldness doesn't just disappear. You carry it with you.
Every now and then, it’s good to look back and remember the girl backstage 🤍

Four generations. One calling. 🤍
Not a coincidence. A choice. Made again and again, by women who knew exactly what they were signing up for and showed up anyway.
The long shifts. The hard conversations. The moments nobody sees and nobody thanks you for. The ones that stay with you regardless.
That’s nursing.
Not glamorous. Not easy. Not for everyone.
But for us it was never a question.
My grandmother did it. My mother did it. I do it. And now my daughter begins.
The technology evolves. The treatments change. The standard doesn’t.
You show up. You advocate. You lead with skill and with heart even when it costs you something.
Especially then.
