πŸ’™ Celebration of Life – Changing the Narrative Around Su***de

On 10th September 2026, Mental Health Network Greater Glasgow will come together with members, families, friends, supporters and our wider community for a very special Celebration of Life.

This meaningful event will give us an opportunity to remember and honour those we have lost, celebrate the lives they lived, acknowledge the impact of su***de on families and communities, and, importantly, come together to share a message of hope, compassion and connection.

Our theme this year is:

🌿 Changing the Narrative Around Su***de 🌿

We want to encourage open and compassionate conversations around su***de, challenge stigma and remind everyone that behind every statistic is a person, a family and a story.

There will be opportunities to reflect, remember, listen and share, as well as moments of hope and togetherness.

πŸ’™ Together, we remember.
πŸ’™ Together, we support.
πŸ’™ Together, we can change the narrative.

πŸ“… Thursday 10th September 2026

We look forward to coming together as a community and creating a space where every life is remembered, every voice matters and hope can grow.

Today is an important day for thousands of young people across Scotland receiving their SQA exam results.

To everyone opening their results today, we want to wish you the very best of luck. πŸ€

If you achieved the grades you were hoping for, congratulations! Your hard work, commitment and determination have paid off, and you should be very proud of your achievement. πŸ‘

If your results aren’t what you expected, please remember that exam results do not define you or determine your future. There are many pathways to success, including college, apprenticeships, training, employment and further study. A different route does not mean you can’t reach your destination.

Today may bring a mix of emotions, so be kind to yourself and reach out to family, friends, teachers or support services if you need to talk. Remember, your value as a person is not measured by grades.

Whatever your results, take a moment to recognise how far you’ve come. You are more than a set of exam results, and your future is still full of possibilities.

From everyone at Mental Health Network Greater Glasgow, we wish you all the very best for the next chapter of your journey. πŸ’™

Thank you NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde for acknowledging our very special year ❀️

Celebrating 25 Years of the Mental Health Network Greater Glasgow
A major milestone is being marked as the Mental Health Network (Greater Glasgow) celebrates 25 years of championing the voices of people with lived experience of mental health services.

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is delighted to add its congratulations to the Network, who we support to engage with people in hospitals and communities, ensuring that lived experience is at the heart of mental health policy and service development. Their achievements and ongoing impact have been captured in a short film and podcast, offering a powerful look at the people, partnerships and progress behind 25 years of involvement.

Congratulations to all the staff, volunteers and members on this landmark anniversary β€” and to the continued impact of your work in the years ahead!
